APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:

The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • And we all are deserving. No one is undeserving. This time, except for the prelims debacle, the whole exam process has been clean. I am not saying that corruption does not happen. But if it were so rampant, then only sons and daughters of big people would have got jobs. Have trust dear friends.

  • @safiul Please don’t say that others who cleared have no intelligence and everybody has done ratta. I understand your frustration but It does not mean that you start disrespecting any exam pattern. If you can’t respect an exam pattern, then it’s no use appearing in it. Failure and success are part of the game. Maybe you missed out by a whisker. Take it in a sporting manner and prepare for the next. In these exams we only think that our exam went well and so, we should clear. But there are various permutations here. Maybe someone did better than me. Maybe I lost out to reservations. Or better, file an rti after the whole process is over and know the clear picture. I personally know many who cleared by working hard. No back door entry. That’s true. And they ‘re intelligent. Two of them are upsc interview experienced guys.

  • Thanks @ diganta

Guys I m still unable to reconcile why I cudnt clear did c.c. main 2013. Having wrote two UPSC mains last two years, I found d difficulty level of apsc questions 50% stretched down. So was quite optimistic dis time. But den I didn’t figure. Dis makes me to wonder, shud I write the next c.c.main 2014?

And that outrageous score of 289/300 in GS cc main 2009 (RTI revealed) should be released for all aspirants viewing. So that it acts as a model answer sheet for all of us. We can learn from it, how to write such perfect answers.

  • i also appreciate the guts of those candidate who came forward to file a complain… i belive d allegations shud b genuine.. so that the courts tym and aspirants patience is not played with…. can anyone suggest one good coachin institute in ghty.???

  • keepin in consideration the greater interest of candidates involved and the lenghty process for one candidates the whole bunch cant suffer… my views on apsc are neutral.. and ofcrse who dusnt want to stay safe and think of their own benefit… i am only concerned that results r declared at d earliest and time is not wasted by undue delay..

  • I agree with Ajit Phukan and want to add some more.
APSC is same as usual – lazy and corrupt. Releasing new jobs depends on various factors, one of which is intention of state Govt. Two exams in a row. It’s our luck or coincidence? Elections coming. Need to show some activity and also recruit as many loyal servants as possible. And many other reasons. Some people tries to present APSC as clean as a temple. That makes me laugh. Yes, one mustn’t believe every news. But with a little effort and intelligence, one can easily get a lot of info about their malpractices. yes, it is that easy. Why? Because they don’t care. I can tell that from experience.

This is a democracy. Everyone has his/her rights to file a case. Even in 2014 Prelims there are so many wrong answers in official answer keys. Do you guys know that APSC didn’t even changed the wrong answer keys? That means several candidates lost a chance to appear in the mains. Now some of you guys will brand those as dumb and even curse them if they files a case challenging those wrong answers. That’s wrong guys. Don’t forget that it is the negligence or arrogance of APSC which creates such a situation.

  • Nothing is incredible on the part of APSC to be coming up with the results except that they are conducting the exams more regularly.(still a little slow).
I wonder isn’t it their regular job and aren’t they costing the public exchequer in getting their salaries paid out of tax payers money. They seemed to have improved in the recent years.THAT’S IT.

And no one goes to court to have a little fun playing the xyz vs APSC game.Only when one feels aggrieved that one goes to court.

Questions were definitely wrong in the GS paper in 2013 prelims and many candidates on cut off borderline were definately harmed.

Not to forget that only one person in BK Barman had the guts to challenge.Things generally get silenced when we try seeing benefits in maintaining status quo or when our benefits are on the other side.

  • It is incredible on the part of APSC they have been able to cut come up with the results particularly after some aspirant posed obstruction through legal means. we therefore urge APSC to deliver results on time and request all other ( agencies) not to disturb the process of examination by givin any hurdle. and also we look forward for upcoming mains exams :)

I m an OBC candidate n have cleared mains this year. I think i am in the borderline of obc cutoff. So, kindly notify a minimum range of score i should acquire to get any sort of post.
Plus, is it true the average Marks offered in the interview session is in around 130-140.

  • Hello everyone.. I had some free time,so I analyzed the figures of candidates passed the mains of 2013..As per the notice of apsc,497 candidates were cleared for viva voce.. Of that 300 boys and 197 girls (around 60% to 40% ratio)..so girls have fulfilled their quota and grabbed 6% of open seats.Within the boys(total 300) minimum 60 should be of ST and SC(27 vacancies for ST SC.2 times is 54..if we round up then number is 60). So after deduction 240 guys are there who belong to general or obc category..

I am curious out of 240 how many are general and how many are of obc/mobc? Feel free to share..

  • Guys nxt mains ketiamane huar chance ase
