The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. I withdraw my earlier post on cutoff. We shoudnt share doubtfull info..
dear firends, hpe all are seriously studying for apsc exam. every body expect marks according to their writing and understanding. but many could not get as their expectation. in upse and other psc exam the copy is check in the commission office and marks are given accodingly on the paper on the basis of quality answer. in assam even the board exam paper generally are checked in the assigned office or school. answer script are generally not allowed to send to the indivisul teacher’s home. but there is exception in the apsc.Unfortunately it is heard that apsc send the answer script to the evaluator to their home or college/university. Apsc main like exam’s answer script must be checked in its in any office.APSC should called the evaluator to the office like other states and UPSC do. It is very unfortunate, if it is, in case of APSC and canot be accepted in the exam like apsc mains. there is higl possibility of favoritism, if paper we in re not evaluated in office. request to those aspiratn to take it is so seriously and demand to evaluate paper in the office itself in future, if necessary through court. Administration please, if this is the case, take it seriously and raise the voice against it. thanks

Though unconfirmed one guy said that cut off for OC is near 800 n ST is near 700.Obc dnt know (m also obc).Just shared what I heard.
@sandeep
Cce 2009 was conducted in d same manner. 582 candidates were called for interview for 280 posts in d ratio of 1:2.
Earlier we wrote something about the cutoff. But it was not confirmed (already mentioned that in the original message). So, please don’t take that seriously. ## We are removing that part from the message.
Tentative date for mains 2014 is April 22nd…
Dear friends it is true that this time the cut off is a bit higher than last time but not drastically high as mentioned by a few friends in this forum.. Heard that cc 2014 process would be completed by December end this year.. Actually the government wants to finish most of the recruitment processes before 2016 state election for obvious reason.. I also have a piece of good news but its unconfirmed.. The cc 2015 will have around 300 vacancies.. So friends let’s not get discouraged as opportunities will keep coming..
hi friends when this year mains will be conducted. Please share probable date.
There is simply no rationale behind speculating cut-offs. This is a subjective exam with things like scaling being applied to normalize scores.I find it surprising how some candidates are declaring their marks at the drop of a hat. You have all the reasons to be confident. But come on. Be reasonable. And some candidates are unnecessarily spreading negativity by saying that the entire recruitment is compromised.Then they should not have taken a plunge in the first place. I have come across many deserving candidates who have cleared in the last exam. So lets not be demoralized and hope for the best.
I think my score is around 850 to 900….should I expect my name in final list…
Was the ratio of students called for imterview in cce 2009 was also 2:1.no guessing please.
Its highly unlikely to have a cutoff as high as 779 , thr r rumours that the highest svore is around 920
Some if my frns who were expecting 720-750 have also cleared.This means dat either d checking was lenient and they scored higher than expected which in turn means dat they highest marks should also increase correspondingly, which is not d case.
While thr is no denying d fact dat some selections maybe questionable but overall thr is not much dat we can do other than giving our best .
Rumours will be thr till the declaration of final result , hence brace for a long haul .
:-)
@Prithwi @Pranjal..I also think is a rumour. Scoring 56% is not easy, more so in a competitive exam.But who knows when some one can score 97% in GS Mains last time.
When one clears the exam (at any stage)-rumors generally spread from them.Suddenly they start seeing themselves as Geniuses.
When I started preparing for prelims one candidate who finally cleared 2009 exam (Low Rank) told me what not-You need to do 90 correct in prelims,respect of clearing the exam and all that BS.
The rant was again repeated by another candidate clearing prelims that at-least 80 you should do correct.
I did believe all sincerely and tried scoring 90.But the cut off was hardly 59.5 and in 2009 prelims was 56-56 I guess.So in hindsight I feel is mostly misguiding information.
@Prithwi Rajkhowa n Admin.
U may b right..good interpretation.I also request Admin to throw some light on cut off.Plz share!! Why all successful candidate r silent for d last few days…I know all must b preparing hard but we should share as much as pissible…group study ll enhance our chances.
Hellow everyone.. Just want to share one thought..the cut off shouldn’t be as high as 779 (56%) just in the mains..after the addition of the viva marks it may go up to such a percentage..there is no confirm report on this,but some are of the opinion that its just a rumour to make the candidates insecure so that they look for other measures:) to confirm their seats. This way more money will flow.I personally found this theory interesting..
Yes, please provide the APSC 2013 Cutoff. One friend of mine said that cutoff is high this time. According to him, it is 779 for General. Is it true? I think score of mains is important no matter how you perform at the interview. So, I want to know my score before the interview. Is it possible? If yes, how?
Cut off for different categories??
