The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. I have cleared mains with history & education as optionals. I have followed mainly Jatin baruah & L H Das for education ; can anyone tell me If these books are upto sufficient or should some other books be followed for comimg mains ??
Congratulations to all guys who get selected for viva but unfortunately I am not in.There have always been rumours in the air about corruptions in APSC but it is baseless ‘and has no authenticity ‘finally only deserve candidates get selected.Over last two-three years APSC has became more transparent than ever before so do not be disappointed just do focus on ur viva.only one thing about APSC; annoyed me was the delay declaration of result.

That’s almost impossible in any other civil service exam. But in case of APSC, anything and everything is possible!
