The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.
@ the indian. Thanks a lot for your insight and encouragement.
Me not a rumour monger. Telling truth – no advt this year. May b advt In Feb next year. If not then new advt after 3 or 4 years.
@all,its pethatic for us still after the massive allegation of APSC officials ,no protest being carried out by any student union/organization for the sack of those officials.The TWo line news statement from education minister or honorable CM is just like a drop of water in a large ocean..
Dear All,
One can very well fathom the depth of consternation among the aspirants due to the impasse on new notification, accentuated by rumour mills operating overtime on this issue. Apropos to my previous post on the issue, we can be clear that there are ample number of vacancies for which APSC can issue notification, provided there is Government’s concurrence. Having said that, I believe, we all should consider this ‘extra’ time as God sent and utilize it whole-heartedly to polish our basics and rummage through the higher concepts so that when the opportune time arrives, we are not found lacking.
On the extant issue of notification, the timing for its release is beyond our control. There are a lot of dynamics involved within APSC, between APSC and Personnel Department, GoA and others, and there will be no one worth his salt who could give us a clear indication of shape of things to come.
My personal opinion/speculation: Notification by December’16, or worst case scenario, Jan’17 post Bihu
Shut up sumit, @all, hope advt this Month, during mains exam I ask one officer about new notification, he told me govt still not replied abt vacancy to apsc. New advt may take time
@ sumit…….don’t you have any other task other than indulging in nuisances?.what devilish pleasure do you get by spreading lies n rumours….. i feel stupidity has reached its climax in your empty brain.you really need some powerful electric shocks to cure your insanity. You call others fool but if you introspect yourself you would find that the most shameless fool hanging around in this forum is none but you……you really are a terrible waste…buzz off.

@ankur bro In Apsc everything is absurd… lol… & I got cutoff list from Apsc RTI cell, so its 100% correct.
@Unekployed
If u look at all d cutoffs,does nt it seem absurd??
@ankur borah 895 ws for OBC nt ST(P)
@Unemployed
U r right…but i asked one friend who cleared in 2014
Who said dat it was 895
@ankur borah you are absolutely right. Lots of candidates score below 170 aftr full attempt. But here am talking abt serious candidates. If serious candidates attempt 300 then they can expect good mrks. & ST(P) APS cut off I got from apsc office & its official. By d way how ws ur mains??
Let’s be optimistic n hope for the best.
Final results in march..dnt knw how far true…
@ all. Mains results very soon.most probably in February or march…..source very authentic.
@ bandana. Cleared the prelims but due to some constraints couldn’t appear in the mains…….by the way hw was your exam?
@unemployed
If ur answer is correct than definitely full attempt in gs english ll entail u good score…but if ur answer is half done dan u ll drastically loose mark..i scored 210 writing 266 in 2013 but got only 158 writing 300 in 2014. Is ST (p) for APS was only 815???? Pls confirm..
