The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.
My question to all
Why applicants r declining instead of increasing in CCE of APSC.Approximately 75000 applied in 2013(appeared 45000),44000 applied in 2014(appeared 30000),30000 applied in 2015(appeared 16000). It seems that each years actually appeared numbers of candidates r turning out to be succeding years number of applicants.Than this years new advertiement ll fetch only 16000 applicants!!!
Can anybody tell me a reasonable theory for this unacceptable reverse trend for CCE considering d growing number of unemployment n reluctant of candidates to sit in this coveted examination.
:》figures are 95% correct as I hv been a candidate since 2009 n regular follower APSC.
@all….seriously with this small no of candidates they are taking so much time to dclre the result….now if bd s predction on mains date is true….apsc hv probably selected it candidates..
@ankur, ghotala karibole he time lage.. OMR machine e edinate prelims r sab answersheet check kari dibo pare… Mur history optional asil… Paper khan dekhiye mur apsc r uparat handeh start hoisile… History paper was way below standard…. Owing to my family problem this time I couldn’t prepare history thoroughly… It was average preparation…. Yet I could answer 88/100 questions correctly… Anybody who has studied history thoroughly could score 95+/100.. You can show the question paper to any good student of history… I am sure he will agree with me…. Eku standard nai apsc r….

According to my knowledge the machines which checks OMR sheet can check 1000 papers in an hour. APSC has two such machines way back in 2013. They also bought more such machines after that. Thats why prelims results of 2013,2015 were declared in 39 days. But dis time they hv already taken 150 days. This time candidates r also far less than 45000 appeared in 2013 n 30000 appeared in 2015..This time it is not more than 16000 actually appeared. Why this declining number of applicants n appearence for cce exam of apsc, where upsc n other exams like ibps p.o ,clerickel, ssc etc r showing highly increased number of applicants year after year?

@strom I didn’t got everything you said…but my optional was a engineering subject..more precisely it means to get 300+ with engineering subject as optional, one will have to read more than 20 books minimum which is not that easy to manage…to me getting nearly 274 in such optional is pretty good..though cannot say if i make it ir not…but to say ( just saying the hawk eyes shouldn’t misunderstand) even if I were allowed to open some books still I would have scored fairly within 270-280 range ( syllabus spread in over 20 books remember, not possible to consult every book in the exam hall) but never above 300…that’s the story of my optional…& rooting for 260 cutoff is just my own guess….so I don’t know
Obc 292 should qualify. So apsc after three mnths realised to upload answer keys. Called up apsc the lady said “olop dhojyo rakhok result alp time lagebo” nyws apsc takes 10-15 days more after uplodng keys.
Here i would like to bring to notice do u all thnk cutof will remain near 260? I dnt knw how much true it is i have heard frm many in the month of april dat results are ready cutof not high coz leavng history other papers were lil tough less candidates. A candidate named bd in ths forum told the same cutof whch i heard mnths before. My point is if cutofs are near 260 general(means results were ready in april , sme candidates too shared info ) whch is nt possible why nw they have uploded the keys. kiba khelimeli kori marks bohai dianai 2 . Plus xm date result date cutofs exactly ebur only chairman members he janibo not othes so hw come people like bd say the exact figure. One mre guy posted in fb for general 260 obc 248 n sc st few more than obc.
@Bandana you will be within top 20.. Congrarts..i think cut off would not be more than 260.
