The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.

I dont know which board u r going to face..
I faced rakesh paul board in my last two interviwe..
He always surely make u comfortable with a very friendly smile..
He ll ask u 2-3 questions at d start..
D most common question is why acs not any other jobs from mr paul
D expert ll ask u current affairs question n d subject u u had in b.a or m.a.
As my subject wz economics i waz asked name d reasons for bank nationalisations..
What r d five most economic problem of assam..
If u get into samedur rahmans board..than b ready for rapid fire questions..d most common question he asks is Describe assam history in 2 minutes..
There r 3 new members dis time so cant say anything abt them
Out of 180 post 40 may be booked from prelims for political backing & apsc official related candidates. Out of 140 I think apsc already sold 80 post bfr mains rslt. If we count per post avg 15lacs*80= 12crore. I think this amount is sufficient fr Pal & co. So bottom line is around 60 post still alive. Guys do ur best to select in those 60 post. Its purely just an assumption, I wish it to be FALSE.
@Bhaskar,Bandana
U were right APS attracts many candidates. My brother cleared 2001 ACS n got appointed in 2004 n at that time number of applicants were 22000. Anyway I hv been following d dream to crack apsc n such things comes to my mind naturally..

@ ankur…. the number of candidates who appeared in 2013 was high because the exam was being conducted after a gap of about 3 years… so candidates preparing for d xam cumulated over 3 years. Since then the xam is being held for 3 straight years now… a number of students have cleared the xam and some have opted for other jobs(bank po etc)…. also not having APS post this time is a deterrant to many…..
@ankur
That is one of the reasons. Not all candidates want to be a civil servant. Thats true. Most of the candidates applied in 2013 n 2014. The corruption discouraged many. Plus this time less no. Of posts. Also no APS this time. So I think these are some reasons.
@Bhaskar
Figures r absolutely correct,i jst hv rounded it up.
@Bandana
Cnt buy ur theory dat not all want to be a civil servant! Do u really think for that candidates declined from 75000 to 44000 to 30000! R our population declining or our educated youth??
My PI 21st june
call letters updated,all the best my friends.
Ghotala jodi hoise 260t koi cut off barhibo ne komibo?
Less number of candidates this time because previous 2013 ghotala has discouraged many..and not all candidates want to be a civil servant.
I m a bit amused to learn that the total number of candidates who appeared in 2015 has declined so much.. are u sure about the numbers and the trend?????@ ankur
