APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. In mains 2013, i didnt take education seriously. I didnt revise . But in 2014 mains, i tried to amend my previous mistakes . This time,it went well.
To have an overview of the whole Education syllabus, buy Chandra prakashans guide book. No need to make notes from it though.
For paper 1, I followed and made comprehensive notes from Lakshahira Das & Jatin Baruah. Both are text books. I also read selectively from C.L KUNDU(Educational psychology) , S Agarwal and Phunu Sharma.
For paper 2, I followed from KKHSOU ‘s online materials and Wikipedia. KKHSOU online material is very easy to read and good to make notes from. Lakshahira das And JB covered the remaining topics.

@Caporegime wish u a very good luck for ur upcoming APSC exam(s). Your marks (oda than that in education)are very impressive. Could u please share the reason that u get so much poor marks in education…was it because u didnt study edu well or because of some oda reasons? Around 40-60% candidates back dooredi humai.Itz a hard fact but we hv to accept dat. Score as much as possible in mains if u r honest candidate. 10-20% prelims r porai paas korai niye(those who r highly influencial in terms of money,power etc). 10-20% political backing thake.15-25% middlemen through di jai.Amar bhagya bhal je post 100-200 ulai ase. 50-60 ta ulale aha koriboi nuarilu heten.BDO 11 ta postor 2-3 ta merit pabo,baki backdoor. M talking from my experience.Many of my friend hv joined through apsc.Ex CM never thought of appointing qualified members to apsc,itz really a shame. Such an institution which conduct n appoints people like administrators,doctors,engineers,professors,principals is running by such inefficient ineligible people.Last time in an interviwe by Nitumoni Saikia one respected member asked back what is DNA!!He is a respected college teacher of upper assam. Nitumoni said to d member’apscr member buli nohoi,ejon college teacher hisape apuni D.N.A ki ajiloi huna nai?’ D respected member replied’D.N.A ki hoi,khai ne pindhe?’
Friends, my education marks didn’t go well enough in Mains 2013. I expected this kind of marks . I didn’t take Education seriously. This time,i am not repeating the same mistakes & have prepared notes beforehand. But ,in general, Education is a good optional subject for scoring. I don’t blame APSC for it.
P.S – General average score for Education is around 130-140 per paper.

@caporegime….. education’or marks eman kom ahil je???? In d other subjects u got very good marks….. even i m thinking of taking education…. so jst a clarification.. whether there was some lacunae in ur education prep or the scoring in the subject is so low???
Thanks caporegime…but don’t you think you should be blaming APSC rather than your Education optional marks?? Because in other papers you have scored really well…interview marks was acceptable, but education brought you down…maybe it was a conspiracy….

DIDN’T CLEAR. Education and viva marks were expected as such. In my case, I don’t have any complaints of plagiarism against Apsc. Regarding selection of others, can’t say.
