APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. All genuine candidates grow up, ghotala level is going to be same in the lines of CCE 2013… Don’t just hope that everything will be fine… Everything can’t be fine with the same rotten egg as the top boss…. Last time this forum was full of bribe giving candidates… I saw one character even writing anti-assam comments… this time it is no better… If you don’t have money don’t just pursue apsc… You will repent after losing many valuable years… Try central government jobs… Even jobs in the corporate world are high paying…

No job is prestigious if you just sit there to earn black money.. Because black money & prestige don’t go hand in hand.. Begging to earn black money.. No self respect… As long as a civil servant is serving his fellow people the post remains a prestigious post… Otherwise it is just a ordinary post… If a state civil servant with a starting salary of Rs 35000-37000 ends up accumulating properties worth several crores, what prestige are you talking about?

@Raj… Last time I just predicted my mains marks based upon my performance in the exams.. I thought I should score more than 900… To my horror the marks were miserable.. It was less than 800.. Many candidates laughed at me, criticised me… They actually knew what was going on behind the scenes.. I didn’t have any idea about scummy affairs of the so called prestigious organisation.. So I said bye bye to this dream which has to be bought not earned.. I am living my IT dream earning 7 figure salary… All white money of course earned through lot of hard work since last seven. years .. So there is no room for frustration.. But I feel sad looking at the level of corruption of my motherland.. And I feel sad that I wasted one year because of this rotten system… As far as serving the society is concerned my father has advised me to donate 5% of my salary to the PM fund every year… And that I have already started..

  • See guys lets not discuss politics here because if at all APSC is involved in corrupt practices thn m afraid to say that because of the courtesy of our legal system justice will not prevail any time soon as u all must be well aware that not a single judge has been removed till date forget about the chairman of any public service commission…so my appeal to all of u bright services aspirants lets discuss how to tackle this exam and at the same time increase our representation in UPSC

Those who couldn’t get any links last time, it seems they have got the links this time… That is why there is change in attitude towards apsc this time… That’s why trying to be critical about own performance last time… The same persons were very vocal against apsc after receiving the answer sheets through RTI… if it was your fault why did you criticise apsc… Now suddenly you guys have found wisdom from some divine source or what? Bloody hypocrites…

  • I won’t blame myself for not being selected in final list last year because i did my best, the marks allotted in sociology and education was not at all acceptable, may be i could have improved a bit but even then i would have been left behind.I was forced to believe that things were not that humble as they were showcased to be,but nothing in our hands except giving our best or may be changing optionals.

  • @ raghab sharma.apunat kori dangor nautanki tu kunu nai sage.have you forgotten the rumour u hv tried to spread on the day of declaration of the mains result? Don’t you hv any self respect ? Last year also you spoke all kinds lies in this forum. You r nothing but a utterly worthless person who likes to speak all kinds of nonsense n took pleasure in misleading the members of this forum. Only a sound thrashing can cure you of this malady.

  • Raghab Sharma on

Like last time, this forum contains people who would get jobs through back door.. They are just doing Nautanki & acting like sages :-)

  • If no PI notification in this week then I doubt that PI might be after BDO exam

  • Though I have managed to clear Mains this time, I am very apprehensive about the transperancy in checking of papers as marks obtained in the mains is the most essential. Xeibabe, moi RTI kori mains’or mark bur janibo bisaru. RTI kora procedure tu exactly ki…kunobai muk jonabo niki baru. RTI tu moi PI’r agot koru ne pisot? Kindly give me some guidance friends.

  • For serious discussions count me in Lonely

  • @bandana , apsc is just joking with us, they are not the body to be believed. They can’t keep their words.

  • Apsc is delaying prelims results too..5 months passed. They are worthless.
