APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. @harjit, obcourse u can. One of my friend did that in the 2013 prelims & subsequently appeared with 2 different subjects in mains 2014.

Hi all, actually i m confused about gs part of prelims. Can u please suggest what books or guide should i refer. Last time i used the apsc guide book by NAAC PUBLICATIONS,but it was not that worthy. Please suggest. Thanks
@pranjal….i believe that the cutoffs would remain more or less the same.It might increase to some extent though bcoz
1)Gs,by nature, will b liberally checked if the scrutinising procedure involves the same personlities.
2)Ge,carrying a significant marks stature, has been easy this time. Marks will add up here
3) optional s will b the key factor in determining the cutoff. From my perspective, due to the new pattern if someone write in a legible point wise manner, keeping the wordlimit intact, a minimum of 60% is possible irrespective of optionals.
So,my prediction will be OC – 780.
We hv come across a very very tough period waiting 4 a suitable post to justify our merit. In fact there was a vacuum in govt sector during that period .Unfortunately our generation became d victim of some negative policies berween d 2 govts (union & state) regarding employment in d govt sector. We could not even hope of to start a lucrative career like ACS APS. There are some people who are continuously trying to hamper d positive activities of d present govt, beware of such type of situation in near future..

Chairman in an interview with Atanu Bhuyan in Assam talk channel in last week of last month said that 200 new vacancies(acs n allied)are coming up in August n 90 more new post of assam revenue service ll be added.Than why only 124 post have been advertised.Just a query.
