The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. All those scored 800 plus in mains last time(whatever there marks in viva)(Hemanga Phukon,2013 UPSC cracker got 841/1400 in mains last time, ranked 12th in d mains merit list,he also got 25th rank in d final list n got ACS though he did nt join)got a coveted post.I dnt think merit of assamese student changed in a span of one year so drastically. This time i found question papers were of same standard…as last time..still those who ll score 800plus this time can uncross their fingers…I can gv them 500 percent assurance dat whatever their marks in VIVA ,they ll get a coveted post like ACS,APS,SUPT OF TAX, SUPT OF EXISE OR DTO,widout any doubt in my mind.

@rahul sarma. Results wont be declared this month for sure. Regarding everybody expecting atleast 800 marks….thats what many out here are expecting. However…real evaluations could bring down nearly everybody’s expectations….could shatter many people’s hopes…could brighten many others chances.

I dnt remember d date or month, bt i read it myself,it was perhaps in d middle or later part of 2013.I discussd d statement wid few friends n d apsc statement said they ll take 16-18 months to complete
d entire proces .They did nt mention d month, but they did mention a time frame..i mean within 16-18 months. They released d statement at a time when some controversial news item regarding there selection proces came up regularly in print n electronic media(court cases etc). When we counted d time frame it shud have been complted by Oct-Decmber/2014.
