The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.

@kamal. You are right in saying that the apsc should not be taking a lot of time to declare the results. However, this year the commission has shown haste in conducting cce recruitments. Hence here apsc cannot be faulted now. Maybe they are also trying their best to finish the mains evaluations. But october is puja season with many days holidays. Many necessary govt people may have big leaves. The mains results as i said earlier, could be expected to be declared between mid nov to mid december.
Friends
I think one way to draw d attention of APSC members to declare d result in due time to write in d editoraials of newspaper like Assam Tribune etc.. (my personal opinion is that evaluation should nt take more than 60-70 days, keeping in view d no. of candidates, a meagre 2200+,where SEBA or CBSE declares result of 3-4 lakhs candidates within 2 months).Your views r highly solicited.
@Vikramjit
No Vikramjit …I just wanted to know a tentative period of declaring d result.. means end of octber etc.Too much long time creates a sense of foul play.Only 2000+ candiadates appeared in mains & the whole of october month is not holiday..
@kamal chetri. You could ask the apsc chairman regarding this. However, i am sure even he does not know the “exact date” which u seek.
Do anyone have a genuine information regardibg date of mains result
@Mona n Pranjit
APSC does nt dclare mains list on d basis of merit…in fact day dclare mains list in d same way as prelims is declared..i.e in ascending ordet of roll numbers.Only d final list is declared on d basis of merit..i.e mains plus viva marks.But thanks to D WEAPON of R.T.I…we can get whatever information we need.By mains merit list I meant d scores of candidates in mains only in descending order n in dat way Mr Phukon got 12th rank (841/1400) in mains n with viva(153/200) he got 25 rank in d final list(994/1600).Sorry for d confusion.

Rslt shud nt b delayd beyond novembr.
@Mona
Hemanga phukon got 841/1400(12th rank) in mains n 153/200 in VIVA(total 994/1600, ranked 25th in overall final list ) .
@Mona n Pranjit
APSC does nt declare mains result in order of merit(I meant marks scored in descending order in mains),they simply declare d result in ascending order of rll nos.By ranked 12th in mains merit list I meant ranked he got in mains marks in descending order.APSC does nt declare Mains or VIVA marks untill d whole proces of recruitemnt is over.There is a weapon named R.T.I …n through it u ll get every information aftr d final result.
@vivek. Similarly, due to my slow writing speed, i could not attempt 50 marks in my english paper. Thus, my low marks expectation in ge and gs paper. The optional papers were of 200 marks each. Thats why i could finish the papers. My slow writing has infact dimimished my chances.
@vivek. I attempted only 220 marks in gs due to time short factor. I am a slow writer, so couldnt attempt 80 marks.
@rahul sarma does apsc provide mains MERIT LIST (as u have stated) ?
@vikramjit
Hi
U hav mentioned that u r expecting 120 in GS . Can u pls mention ur total attempt in Gs .
Guys, you can expect the mains results to be out anytime from mid november to mid december. Before mid november results declaration is unlikely.
@rahul sarma. Rahul, i had history and geography. Hope to score 130 marks in each of the four papers. My english and gs papers were not good and hope to score 140 in english and 120 in gs. So total i am expecting around 780. Lets see what happens. The actual evaluation will either increase or decrease my total marks.
Hi Rahul,
Do they declare mains result on the basis of marks the candidate gets. Is it like highest scorer will be at the top of the mains merit list?
Actualy you said Hemanga Phukan got 12th rank in Mains merit list and was 25th in the final merit list.
If anyone have specific knowledge about this procedure please share. Thank You##
@vikramjit
