Mamoni Scheme of Assam Government

Mamoni is a Government of Assam scheme for pregnant women. It was launched in 2009 under Assam Vikash Yojana of Govt of Assam. The objective of the scheme is to encourage pregnant women to undergo at least 3 ante-natal checkups which are helpful in identifying danger signs during pregnancy. The process of Mamoni Scheme starts during the First Registration of the pregnant women. At that time,  the Mamoni booklet containing details on antenatal, natal and postnatal care is given to the pregnant women. During her 2nd ANC, an account payee cheque of Rs. 500 is given. Another Rs. 500 cheque is provided to the women during her 3rd ANC. The small financial aid is provided for expenses related to nutritional food and supplements.

  • Eligibility : All pregnant women in state of Assam. The pregnant women is required to take 1st, 2nd and 3rd ANC and to have the Mother and Child Health Card (MCH Card) provided by the health institution during 1st ANC.

  • Mamoni scheme has been discontinued by the Assam Govt. as per the information provided by Civil Hospital on 22/06/2018, Namrup-Assam.
