The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. Cut of for prelims..guesses?

  • @vivek
    There is not more seats for O.C …it is around 50 percent as last time

    @bikramjit and monika
    Ya..right …to be more precise it was 909 (male) for obc.Bt 800 is a very gud score in mains.In 2011 only 46 candidates scored more than 800 n more in mains.

    @admin
    Thanx for uploading d answer keys of G.S.

  • @vikramjit,

    i wud like to mention dat 938 was for males … 895 for females, d OC cut-off for APS (2011)

  • Vikramjit Lama on

    @sameer choudhury. Sameer, whats your marks expectation in each of the papers? 800 is a good score.

  • Vikramjit Lama on

    @kishorejit das. You are saying that the cutoff marks for APS including the viva was only 911 for the OC? Wasnt it 938? A person scoring 800 in the mains needs around 140 in the viva.

  • kishorjit das on

    @Sameer
    May i knw ur category?A lot depend on that..if open then u need a more..say 40-50 marks extra
    than obc n st.Last time 30 post wer dre for APS.Since 2013 has 60 post for APS n cut of was 911 in 2011, dis time it may nt b more than that(since 30 more seats) . I thnk u ll b comfrtably in if ur score happends to be 800 plus 140 i.e 940 ..to me more than enough for APS..

  • @rituraj
    I think d cutoff should be similar to last time I.e. about 260 . My assumption is based on d following logic
    1 . lesser no. Of seats
    2. Those who had appeared in recent Mains should have done much better than others.
    3. Majority of seats in open category

  • Any fnd uplode Political science ans key
