APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.
| CATEGORY |
ACS (Assam Civil Service) | APS (Assam Police Service) | Superintendent of Taxes | Superintendent of Excise | Inspector of Taxes | Inspector of Excise |
| General (Open) |
961 | 938 | 961 | 957 | 871 | 927 |
| Other Backward Classes (OBC) | 923 | 911 | 917 | 909 | 838 | 833 |

| Scheduled Tribe (Plains) | 862 | 851 | 859 | No vacancy | 802 | 796 |
| Scheduled Tribe (Hills) | 847 | 846 | 871 | No vacancy | 762 | No vacancy |
The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. @rajib chetia. What gave you the idea that a 30+ person cannot serve Assam; or there is no point in coming back to Assam?!
I am 30-, but I know many candidates who are 30+ and are much better than many of us – in terms of experience, grit, determination and genuineness.
@3nayan, well done dude. I take it in good stride & spirit :-)

@Rajib, i am extremely sorry to know that you have wasted your valuable time reading my not so valuable comments. pl accept my most sincere apology.
1. out of attempted 245 in GS i may score 140,180 or 200. only time will tell.so why dont you just keep mum & wait. The main diff between UPSC mains & APSC mains is the weightage on Assam which i couldn’t prepare as comprehensively as i would have liked to.
2. R u trying to say that making an attempt to study abroad(which ultimately didn’t materialise) is treacherous? or R u saying that by staying in assam you have testified your patriotism?
3. Do you have a magic bowl through which you peek into other’s life? did i ever mention that I have done my masters? I am a B.Tech and I am 28 years old. Have not you learned some manners during your gracious stay in Assam or for that matter on this earth? R u going to decide and poke into my family matters? No wonder you bring in sleazy Bollywood story into the discussion. Too much of anything is bad!!!
4. I am from Duliajan & I dont know you. So according to your childish theory I should doubt your claim of being a resident of Duliajan. I have mentioned it a zillion times that I am using a pseudo name. So keep your wild guessing to yourself.
5. As I said before you are a ‘saku saraha’ who likes to indulge in ridiculing others with your abnoxious behaviour & mentality. Ya I would love to feed your one-upmanship ego by restricting myself from using this beautiful platform as I would cringe to participate in any discussion.
Good bye all. I would get a big zero in mains. So no coming back
P.s: gotcha you!!!
O….eibur ki hoise iyat.
Plz clarify everyone concerned. But I still believe Raghab as genuine.
