APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. @Raghab. I respect your opinion regarding coming back to Assam n helping her out during this perilous hours. But regarding your authenticity, i have some doubts.
1) HOW COME U CLEARED UPSC MAINS(where GS constitutes the majority of written marks ; nearly 1000 out of 1750) n still PREDICTING SUCH A LOW SCORE IN THE GS paper Of APSC(PROBABLY THE EASIEST OF ALL THE PAPERS)??
2) TOEFL is an exam mainly attempted by candidates for seeking MASTERS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES . How come your passion for serving your motherland didnt arise then?
3) Supposing that u have done your Masters n came back in Sharukhan khan style of SWADESH. You should probably be 30 plus right now . Dont you feel you are far too old to think about residing near your parents house?
4) I m from Duliajan. N i know everybody who have done B.TECH from IIITM? N guess what, i don’t know you?
5) I think you are a fake hypocrite guy. So why dont you stop your fingers from texting in this forum so that hundreds of us can save our time from viewing your crappy comments.
P.S. But then , that is my apprehension. You don’t have to mind about that.

@raghab. Well said. And we should promise to shun or at least try to reduce red tape,corruption and nepotism in our daily dealings, in whatever capacity we can.

@himadri, moi biswakh karu ami sabei nijar duty haru dangar sincerely jadi karu amar axom khan nije nijei thik hoi jabo. Tar karane bahu dangar kam nakarileu haba. Din rati ek kariu kam kariba nalage. We just need to dedicate 8 hrs of sincere commitment in office. That applies to 4th grade as well as class one officer.
@raghab. at least you are honest. I am yet to come across someone who wants to join the service with genuine intention of serving the society. For most of us, the service is just another employment opportunity.

@himadri, I don’t think a grade government jobs are easy. My father was a government employee too and I have seen him putting his heart & soul. Of course if anyone wants to relax then there is not much pressure on him.

@raghab. Alop relax koru aha. On a lighter note, pick your option:
a) Tired of corporate job and the associated lifestyle.
b) Desire of a relatively easy job in the government sector, without deadlines and fear of layoff.
c) Family, friends and sense of familiarity in Assam.
d) Scope to earn extra money through dubious means or corruption.
e) None of the above; you have some ulterior motives.

I have two reasons one personal one emotional. I think instead just showing discontent & cribbing about lack of development in assam why don’t we just get down & clean the muck ourselves in whatever possible capacity.
The other one is a bit personal. That I need to be beside my parents who want me to settle down in assam
