APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • Produced from the HC-Website:

“”Today when the matter is called, Mr. C. Baruah, learned Standing Counsel, APSC has produced a sealed envelope containing a statement made by the Principal Controller of Examinations, APSC and Assistant Controller of Examinations, APSC dated 10.03.2015. The sealed envelope has been opened in Court. On a perusal of the statement contained in the envelope, it is seen that the petitioner Shri Bimal Kishore Barman bearing Roll No.0101827 appeared in the Main Examination under Open Category (Unreserved). He had secured a total of 489 marks as against 766 marks secured by the last selected candidate belonging to the Open (Unreserved) category. Hence, petitioner failed to qualify in the interview. “”

  • Just saw the High Court Judgement.Cut off seems indeed 766 for the unreserved category.Bohut goise.

  • Result by 30th April I seriously doubt.Everything smooth, result should have been ideally out by 5-6th April.

I think the Bimal Kishore case is still undecided and his results are witheld.

  • Hi everyone!

Thank you all for keeping this discussion thread alive. We are still unable to get hold of the 2013 Mains marks. During recent visits to APSC, we learned the following: Most probably, Mains 2014 will start from May last week. Most likely, results of CCE 2013 Final will be announced towards the end of April. The new notification for 2015 will also be announced soon.
