APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.
paean you easily qualify in preliminary if you gt more Thn 250 in preliminary as a ST candidates..no doubts..
When answer key will be uploaded?
I am expecting 254 to 264 in the preliminary exam .can I start my mission for mains being a ST(p) guy ?
expected cutoffs.
OC : 260-270
OBC : 240-250
SC/ST : 220-230
considering the standard of question papers, number of candidates and post exam discussion with various candidates, i have arrived at this conslusion.
due to age relaxation …earlier it was38…now 43……experienced and earlier qualified candidates are more likely to qualify in preliminary…so earlier 2000-3000..experienced likely to qualify…even 1500-2000..will qualify Thn cut off marks ultimo growth up…even in earlier when compared with 116 Posts earlier before 280….Thn 241..etc mains or preliminary qualify marks are little higher Thn previous years ..
In 2013, general male cut off was 242 n female 238, also OBC 212, SC 220, STP 212, STH 208. And that year almost 70000 applied and ultimately 40000 sat for prelims. No. Of post 241
This year 205 posts and 54446 applied and around I think 35000 sat ultimately(<70%). And qstn paper difficulty level was more than 2013 I think.
still more Thn 220 in 2013 also…for general..Thn competitor was not so much marks concius thn today…no of Posts were 280…..this year perhaps more candidates appeared…and candidates are more marks conscious today..
@ Surojit & others, cut off marks of 2013 prelims was 224 and considering zero corruption and difficulty level of the question papers, cut off for gen would range between 220-240…… bdw what is your prediction?
@all, 2013 prelims cut off was 224 for general.
Apsc preliminary 2016 expected 225+ obc.. .can it be qualified …..plz share views posts are 205
SC and OBC s
pls do not mislead others…from past experience (even three last experience )..220+ was cutoff for even SC and once
hi Jay I still sure 100% than 220 can’t qualify for preliminary as a general candidates..from my personal experience…I Hv been qualified since 2003 preliminary /mains .. also selected for inspector post during 2013 .but not joined…may be your personal experience but 220 can’t qualify for mains( general )if something unexpected happens…
@ Jay.. oh u are very experienced than bro, but are this year’s papers tough than previous some years?? What do you feel?? And General category cut offs have never been below 240 in the past decade as per my knowledge… although I still hope you will be right.
@Surojit & Kamal, this is only my personal prediction out of three years of experinence. I have been recommended for ALRS of late. I strongly believe those who are expecting 220+ should start preparing for the mains
hi who says general candidates can qualify at 55/60 %.. last time it was more than 280. total for both male and female(General)…though it is depends on candidates and marking pattern and marks gt ,question standard,no of posts ..still can expect it is more than 70%
@ Jay… can you please explain if it’s just your guess or some calculations you made? Or if have got to know from source..
as per me, cce(p)16 cut off for general category will be 55-60%
2016 gs paper ignored Assam. This is a bad sign. If this continues soon all important govt jobs will be occupied by outsiders.
I m apsc aspirant. plz upload history optional. let me know cut off marks of general
