APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. @radical:I guess 150 to 160 is average mark for viva.not sure though.

But GS paper can offset such high cutoff to a certain extent. Another factor to be considered is the change in copy checking pattern. One can’t predict easily.
Thanku guyz for d insights! Cutoff might be skyrocketting this time. But fair process of interview could offset the spikes. Anywayz hope for d best. Regarding declaration of results, i came across a report in AT which says within five dayz. So, technically speaking, APSC may surprise us anytime from tomorow itself to max 29th of June.
@Indian : Thanks for replying. But last time there were 49 seats for General category for ACS compared to 16 seats this time. Last time cutoff for Gen ACS was 990, given 49 seats. This time it will definitely exceed 1000 and might stand around 1020-1040, provided the marking pattern and other stuff remaining the same.
I guess the cut off will rise substantially this time, given less number of vacancies. For OC (general) , ACS cut off might reach 1000, ARS (950) and overall cut off for OC may come around say 900 (all including Viva marks). Going to be very close competition I believe. Can we expect results by tomorrow? Anyway, this is my assumption, so there is no need to panic. I could be wrong ! My best wishes to all, let us wait for the final results.

What could be d lowest cut off for any post for a Gen Cat candidate this time.? I know its difficult to predict this year as parameters are diffrent. Still wanted to know from experienced candidates.

Probably not today. They might take time to process as interview spanned over couple of days. Also 24, 25(Sunday) and 26 (Eid) are holidays. Lets c. Keep refreshing the site and no one will be surprised though if results come today!
