The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.

2014 pora pattern change hua karone marks alop komise. 2013 t bht besi marks paisile optionals t. 2015 t no of post 2014 t koi kom jodiu cutoff t eman ata deviations ahibo jen laga nai.mur mote aibar r cutoff more or less 2014 r dore hobo within the range of +/- 20.
@Radical
It depends largely on ur category unless ur marks 850+. This time For generl 820+ obc 760 n for st 750 should b safe scores.
Interviwe marks ranges between 115-195. But most candidates score in between 140-165.
Ultimately it will all depend upon the scoring pattern. In 2013 scoring were very liberal specially in gs unlike in 2014 in which gs papers were not given to marks.
@Shaun
Fewer ll b cald fr interviwe bcoz seats r less. But candidates ll b cald for intervw according to d marks of highest candidate in descending order.Accordingly marks for intervw call for 248 candidates ll b high compared to 360 candidates..so fewer seats mean more marks..it is nothing to with how many r cald for mains
Juwa baror mains or mur answer sheet ot marks diya Dekhi matha garam hoi goise. We’re these answer sheets checked by some peons or clerks? 2 marks answer same thoka mur friendok dise 2 marks dise muk dise aadha. I got only 116 after attempting all answers. What action can I take now? Pls advise
2014- 180 seat, 180*12 candidate called for mains, similarly 124*12 candidate call for mains this time. Fewer seat have no effect at all! It not means that if seat fewer cutt off goes up 30/40 marks automatically @ankur bora.
@all How much marks should a candidate score in mains to have a full chance of getting selected? I am not talking of cutoff here. & what is the average expected marks that one can score in the interview?
@pitt
@ankur bora
Well analysed. Thanks.
My predictions mains cutoff
Gen 730
Obc 670
St 660
Cut off may nt rise beyond this,dis cut off r same as last year. Factors dat can raise cut off- 1.Fewer seats dan last tyme.This factor should ideally increase cutoff by 30-40 marks.
Factors dat lower cutoff(already mentioned by some forum member, m just adding my point) 1. Though same level of optionals,gs n english is somewhat less scoring due to lengthiness at least 10 marks less in each paper i.e total 20 marks. 2. Many serious students have already got their dream jobs in 2015 n 2016. They r not in d race.
3. The discussion in d forum seems dat their r lack of serious discussion. I m following dis forum since start. Earlier there was healthy n constructive discussion in both 2013 n 2014 exam. But dis tyme there is lack of activeness n seriousness. This show that all candidates r not too keen in serious discussion .These very members hv written mains. So 30 marks deduction from dat front.
My ultimate analysis
+40 (due to fewer seats)-50=-10. So cut off ll b less by 10 marks.
My bliv is cut off wud b same as last yr since a tougher GS n Eng paper wud b neutralised by less seats.
@Shaun If we look at the question papers then yes GS and English papers were lengthy. Optionals easy.
But if we look at the number of posts then few.
So cut off same as earlier or less.
