APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)

APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.

APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date.     Sociology is a good subject. But the persons that check the sociology paper are real crooks. They give 50-60 marks, which is laughable and absurd. Check how they strike out paragraphs in your answer scripts. What they think of themselves? father of Sociology? In my view, there are only two possible explanations – either they have grudge against aspirants (as they themselves failed to crack APSC CCE) or they are not acutally qualified (who knows maybe they are fourth grade employees or drivers).

    Those who appeared with Sociology, please request the copies of your answer scripts through RTI. When you get the copies, check few pages. You’ll understand what I am trying to say.

    @all…..cleared and selected in cce 2014….but my education optional marks was so discouraging….76 and 113….political science..gst…English marks good…76 is unexpected for me…..

    @saurav…both sociology and education are low scoring but in education you can expect to get average scores like 110-125..however due to some strange and mysterious reasons ,the examiners are too frugal(or stupid either) to allot good marks in sociology no matter how good you write.Most of my friends who failed or even cleared got scores like 60,70,80…I too cleared with these two subjects but my gs,ge marks were good and since unfortunately i am an OH candidate after a spinal infection ,i sailed through..but my honest advice would be don’t take sociology or even education if you are looking for the top posts….psychology,anthropology,history or economics even are more scoring.

    I choose sociology as an option subject along with pol SC for apsc mains 2015 . I came to know it 2 low scoring subject , is I done a big mistake??

    Many candidate cleared apsc 2014 with sociology subject ( rank 6 , 52 ) etc

    Thanks , actually I still not collected 8 semestar marksheet from my college . But have graduation certificate + 1 to 7 semestar marksheet , for 8 semestar I will show them internet copy ie as per university site .. is it OK ?? Or thy reject my application form ?

    Is it required to submit marksheet of all semestar of graduation ??? As I am engg graduate , but at present dnt have 8 semestar marksheet but have graduation certificate .

    @admin,please try to provide the cutoffs for each category for ACS and the allied services like you did previously,would be very grateful.
