APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. @aspirant…i wrote about what I felt about d examination n how I handled my failure in d first attempt..JUST BY REMAINING POSITIVE. I m not here 2 comment on other things…Every person has his own ways of thinking…I respect ur opinion.But I dont want 2 comment on dz discussions…Infact i hv never been a part of it in d past,although i hv bn a regular visitor.

@Pinky Dutta @ Jhonny Depp…….who is worried abt what media is writing……What all m worried abt is d marks I have scored in Mains + Interview….Every state PCS disclose d marks of d students who have appeared in interview as well as Mains…..APSC disclose d marks even in prelims…no cut off even…..Do Chief Minister need to tell d Chairman abt all d reforms to be made in d functioning of civil service xam…..these tactics surely indicates that there are group of people in d system who is allowing illegible candidates through back door….It won’t stop untill and unless transparency is made in d whole process of examination…..To knw my marks I have to file a RTI now…..which will take 1 month in getting reply…till than 2015 Mains will start…..will have no time to analyse my mistake and make some changes in my strategy……..

@Pinky Dutta. I saw your interview on TV. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience and inspiring us. There might be 10 ppl who will write bogus on this blog multiple times but 0(read Zero!!) will heed attention, but there will be 1 person who will actually write something useful which will indeed make a difference to many.

@admin, I would like 2 extend my thanks to u 4 coming up with such a forum 4 d preparation of Civil Services examination 4 d candidates of our state. This is indeed a positive step forward. I have been a regular visitor of this site 4 d past 3 years since I started preparing 4 d APSC conducted CCE…although i never commented too much, I sincerely feel dt this site can b a gr8 platform for d aspirants if it is used in d ri8 way. I personally feel dt admin should b a lil more vocal regarding issues dt crop up evry now n dn in d forum which mostly take n ugly turn with people ending up wd using slangs at each other…
Friends please come out of all dz n use this platform 4 constructive discussions which wud help each n evry1 who uses ds forum 4 preparing 4 d exams.
I wud lyk 2 share wd u all dat i come 4rm a very simple middle class family where my parents hv brought me up wd good values…my father is also a retired govt servant n he has alwz taught us 2 rise on our merit.. I had sat 4 d CCE 2013-14 as well but couldn’t clear it by a very small margin…N TRUST ME FRNZ AFTER I GOT MY ANSWER SCRIPTS THROUGH RTI, I SAW I GOT EXACTLY D SAME RANGE OF MARKS DAT I EXPECTED….here i understood dt i need 2 improve more on my writing 2 score more n 2 get in2 d merit list….I did accordingly n here i m today, by God’s grace n wd my parents blessing I bagged ACS wd 6th rank.

F*****g APSC……..no transparency at all……Busy in selling seats for most prestigious job……why don’t they disclose marks from prelims to final selection. Is the selection decided on the basis of marks or on d basis of money…..

As we are discussing coaching institutes , one simple clarification I need to post here.. All the successful candidates they advertised didn’t really take full time coaching there. I only attended one mock interview in Ekalavya for just one day so as to get the idea for cc2013 Viva. However they have been putting my name in the papers since last time. There is absolutely no need for coaching.. All the best guys.
No need to join any coaching institute for clearing apsc,none of friends who cleared had joined.Read at home,read well,write fast,good handwriting.That will do.
