APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. I don’t know how many of selected candidates has used backdoor or or how many selected on merit…..I don’t know what is d percentage of corruption this time or whether it happened at all…
But from my experience I can say that hardwork n determination pays, ofcourse little bit of luck matters too….
After 5 yrs of chasing my dream and 3 attempts finally got APS…..
In apsc exam along with hardwork determination another important quality is shading negative thoughts and giving one’s best efforts ,not thinking too much about result…
If you have it in you definitely god will help…
Yes ..I can understand d frustation ….in 2013 cce I gave my best ..prepared very hard , exam went better than this time but could not find a place..but this time only 1 month preparation I appeared d exam…still could clear d exam only because my presentation of answers were good this time ..knowing is not enough but writing/presentation of answers in a way to fetch good marks is d key….
@all pls some one suggest good book for mechanical for mains .. I will be really grateful

@unknown, 4th rank’s father was exam controller when the mains was conducted.. It was only when exam was over he was transferred. Assam tribune has suspiciously hidden a few facts while reporting. I hope AT doesn’t become a laughing stock when it will have to report the upcoming scandal where this topper’s name find a mention :-)
When I went to appear for the bdo exam last month I met a guy who claimed to appear viva in CCE 14 exam…out of curiosity I asked him how tough are APSC GS paper so that I could guess about bdo GS….but to my surprise he told me one doesn’t have to study for CCE but spend that time in finding good links…then he asked me why else do you think that more than 65% of those clearing bdo prelims belongs to Kamrup district…this cannot be a coincidence that rest other centres combined has lower successful candidates than kamrup centres…

Similar other member assets ,how much assets of paul increased after becoming apsc chairman!
If found guilty, remove chairman & others member .
Our apsc chairman says post are meagre & many meritious candidate not selected so allegation come against apsc
Mr chairman why this not happen with upsc ? Also upsc post meagre, lakhs of candidate apply each year but no such allegations ie corruption come in news !
Remove apsc chairman rakesh paul & others and save apsc & future aspirant carrier who working hard .
The mockery of the CCE 2014 final result is going to be exposed very soon… So just chilax guys….. So my dear aspirants don’t ask for tips from the so called toppers in this forum….. @bhaskar and others who are planning to have geography as an optional plz reconsider…try to find toppers this time or 2013 cce who had geo as one of the optnl and seek their advice..before decidng try to solve some previous years questn papers which will give u a fair idea and some clarity of ur hold on the subjct..all the bst

i didnt appear 2014 mains for personal reasons, could nt clear 2013 went till viva, cleared 2015 prelims here it will be wrong to say many negative things tenga aamor nisina hoi.
wat i felt is to crack apsc either u need to be too good exellency determined focus constant performer( a candidate dat gets selected on merit) etc or ” u need to have atleast 20-35 lacs depending on post( provided also u need to be a lil good in studies)

Voice against corruption, nepotism and job-selling etc has been utterly futile…..let’s appeal for reservation…… reservation on the basis of merit…. at least a small % be given to meritorious candidates…… let meritocracy not die in an era of so called democracy
Certainly no other contemporary competitive exam show such a trend…..let’s think about it before wasting our valuable time in preparation
