APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. I have already spoken enough on this trivial issue……..it seems you r paid to be his spokesperson otherwise you wouldn’t have approach me for some clarification again n again regarding this petty matter. ………good……very good. ……at least you have got yourself a job………goodbye.

  • @raghab I am touched by your explanation of the definition of a true civil servant & the real significance of the prestige attached to this job….. It gives an idea of the people who have been instrumental in moulding your life….. You spoke about your father’s advice of donating to PM fund & I could see his influence on your polished personality…… Kudos to you buddy…….

  • @Raj da,, moi ei forum t natun. Moi join kara 5-6 mah manhe hoise. Heyehe moi dinchengfa, enthusiastic, arup adir comments ajiloike parhibole pua nai. Jiman dur mur manat ase @raghab dai @ankur dai career & life r achievement r uparat hudhute US jua aru flat kina katha koisile. Mur apuni belegak ki koi tat eku business nai thikei. • @raghab da thanks so much for your beautiful take on the true meaning of prestigious civil services. There can’t be a better explanation of it. Although I had my concerns regarding the paltry salary of a civil servant I never wanted to demean it in any way. I think I will take it as life unfolds it for me. Moreover I wouldn’t like to stress myself from the point of job perspective as my immediate goal is to complete my masters. But I have high regard for you for your broad mentality & the sanctity you have maintained by means of your conduct in a public forum. Keep shining in your career @raghab da.

  • @ niyorkona tumi hosa ae kona niki?…… mur comment buror agote o aru pisote o ei forum ot bohut unnecessary talks aru indecent words kisuman e bebohar kori asile. Tetiya tumi kot asila bondhu? Soku muda kulir bhau loi asila neki………… regarding my dispute with raghab its none of your business. ………….as for my buddy golmaal we always had a cordial relationship devoid of any contradictions.infact when I read about his accomplishment I felt tremendous joy to the very core of my heart. His hard work sincerity n dedication finally paid off n he got selected in a prestigious firm like Mercedes which a average person can only dream of…………and what delighted me more is his humble attitude even after his fabulous success. He has shown the true spirit of a gentleman…….. this forum has seen the likes dinchengfa arup n many others who had a brilliant academic career but they neither boasted nor indulge in unnecessary self-praise. Even though Mr . enthusiastic had a very good command over the English language he never brag about it . eventually All the members of this forum acknowledged his efficiency in this regard…….the thing is that if somebody achieves something spectacular in this mortal life I believe he should refrain from indulging in self-praise. If he indulges in that he belittles his own achievement n accomplishment which I feel is self-defeating in the long run……..if we achieved something fabulous the country as well as the society will definitely acknowledged us in the near future…………as for the jealousy part, why should I be envious when I have a good job in a central government department……..niyorkona I have nothing against you n so let’s stay in a symbiotic relationship in this wonderful forum……sorry if I have unknowingly hurt your delicate feelings ……….have a sound sleep…..good night.

  • Oh Bandana..u r back ..m so happy

  • Raghab Sharma on

@niyorkona. As an elder brother I would tell you not to belittle the civil services owing to its meagre pecuniary compensations…… As a civil servant you are given a respectable salary along with numerous perks….. But do remember all these are entitled to help you serve the common man in the best way possible….. That’s why it’s a prestigious job….. The prestige lies only & only in serving your fellow countrymen…..

If you want to earn a lot of white money with dint of your hard work then I would advice you to join a big MNC where sky is the limit for you as far as fat remuneration is concerned……For example it is possible only for a big corporate house to pay an annual pay package of Rs 500 crores to a CEO by the name of Nikesh Arora of SoftBank….. There are similar examples aplenty…… But here your job may/will not allow you to serve your countrymen the way an honest civil servant accomplishes that goal……

Personally I think it’s tougher to be a truly honest & successful civil servant who has served his fellow countrymen all his life to the best of his abilities & in the truest spirit of a civil servant…… Because here challenges are galore & humongous……. Sadly I chose the easier challenge owing to varied personal reasons……. But then everyone in the friends & family has respected my decision which is so personal……. So first decide which way you would like to sail & work hard towards achieving that coveted goal……. Good luck @niyorkona……

  • Any news about next mains

  • Apsc can conduct mains exam in sept or Oct. Nov and Dec upsc mains exam ( forest & civil service ) so no Apsc mains exam .

  • @ bandana I guess before upsc mains…..

  • @general I would like to know the source of information from where you got to know that Sagarika Nath got disqualified because she declared herself to be a creamy layer candidate when her parents earn more than 6 lpa.
As per the marksheet given by upsc her community code is 4 which I guess is for general candidate.Next thing is yes her allotment is pending because she has got some medical problem. If she clears it she will be alloted ips else irs
P.S: She is from Orissa not from Assam
I would ask you kindly to refrain from saying something just for the sake of saying because not only does it creates negativity but also questions the integrity of a candidate.

  • Hello friends…what do u think?Apsc Mains will be after upsc mains or before it???
