APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • @din ‘ in respect of employed candidate it is mentioned that his/her application should come through proper channel that means employed candidates will have to take permission from their respective departmental appointing authority with no objection certificate to appear in the Mains combined competitive examination 2014.

  • @rr i can jst predict…reality may differ…i think main+viva cut off for ACS wl b 940…for APS 910…n Supdt of taxes again 940..dis is just my speculation depending on various vacancies available, previous year result n standard of quesn papers dis year…if soneone gets 800 in mains he/she is in safe zone…viva is very important…it wl play d decisive role in which post u wl b recruited…..

  • Sameer any idea on the cut off for respective categories?

  • in the mains form, it is written that if you are employed. ..your application should come through proper channel. ..what does that mean…???

  • it seems that some candidates hv already got their results…i hv come to kno in some groups dat main cut off decreases diz tym…those who hv sociology as optional likely to suffer d most( including me)…highest mark of GS is around 260…

  • @dip this time it may be come down by 1000

  • @Bd: what should be the topper candidate”s marks this time around 1000+ or it will soar above1100 or 1200+.I believe it will not cross 1300.What do you think?any idea………………..Even others can share their view

  • @Sandeep:For History paper 2 i read the books followed in Gauhati university and dibrugarh university covering that portion. In class 10 i had history so from the school books also i referred some topics like french revolution world war etc.last mains exam i completed both the history papers and i was more or less satisfied with the answers.on an average i wrote each answer for about 7- 8 pages carrying approx 33 marks each. As per as gs paper i completed 3oo marks but i feel around 15 marks are wrong. so i attempted about 280 marks correct. english also the same.completed 300 marks but few grammatical mistakes around 10 marks.and pol science both papers i had completed.so thats why i am expecxting 120 in all the optionals 200 in gs and 150 or 150+ in english. Moreever i have sc reservation but misfortune that this time acs has no sc reservation

    Another 30 days??? Omgggg Noooo

  • @Kristi & other candidates,
Yes, it is late. But from what we heard, results are on its way. Maybe within 30 days. If that’s true, final results are ready by now. And probably few candidates already got their results! This is not just assumption. So, the best thing to do right now is prepare for interview. A little preparation won’t harm even if you don’t make it to the final list. All the best.
