APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.
CATEGORY |
ACS (Assam Civil Service) | APS (Assam Police Service) | Superintendent of Taxes | Superintendent of Excise | Inspector of Taxes | Inspector of Excise |
General (Open) |
961 | 938 | 961 | 957 | 871 | 927 |
Other Backward Classes (OBC) | 923 | 911 | 917 | 909 | 838 | 833 |

Scheduled Tribe (Plains) | 862 | 851 | 859 | No vacancy | 802 | 796 |
Scheduled Tribe (Hills) | 847 | 846 | 871 | No vacancy | 762 | No vacancy |
The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.
@prasanta. 100% merit t select nai hua. Lets call a spade a spade & project the real picture. That way we belong to only the ‘truth’ group. No biased comments. Only the bare & bitter truth.
Common sense buliu eta katha ase. CM dangoriyai pratham enquiry tur report t corruption r report pua karane he dwitiya tu judicial level r enquiry r anumati dise.
@prasant
Moi winner swinner kaku sini napau, dorkaru nai. Tumi ji bhaba, bhabibo para. I just wrote my thoughts after seeing the comments here. Its a public forum after all.
Anyway, one thing is sure & certain. … That you are not going to join AEO simply because your current job fetches you more salary than what an AEO gets.
I think the best option is..
1. Study as hard as possible
2. After the exam self evaluate each paper & write down your expected marks against each of the six papers of mains.
3. Be ready to file a RTI as soon as possible.
4. Keep your legal options ready.
5. When you get your marks, compare them with your expected marks.
6. Any drastic deviation from the expected marks calls for legal recourse.
7. Be sure not to waste the honorable court’s valuable time with cases which don’t have merit.
I think it’s a fair enough option for all the genuine candidates.

Brother, many of the candidates never manage to see their names in the final list inspire of years of hard work. You atleast saw your name in the list finally after your third attempt.your instance itself justify that there are still lots of space available for genuine hardworking candidates to go to the final list inspite of frequest allegations against apsc.
Being a successful candidate, it was your duty to inspire the new aspirants to take up this exam seriously. But unfortunately you are giving such a picture here that many of the new candidates will hesitate to do any preparation for a “futile” exam.
I am also from lakhimpur & came to know about you through a friend. You are definitely a bright student, for which, you a an assistant manager in a leading nationalised bank. As you are well settled & your current job has lots of future prospects, is it ethical for you to provoke others against a constitutional institution at a public forum??? If you are really aggrieved, you should go to the court of law for justice rather than shouting here in futile & provoking others. Plz don’t spoil others career simply because you are well settled.

Ahh! Arrr! It’s owing & recourse. Sorry.
I support @winner. This makes no sense if you don’t appear the exam owning to frustration because of corruption. This wrong step of yours actually further fails the system. Study hard. If you believe you haven’t been given marks as per the quality of your answers, then only you should contemplate legal course.
The increased number of genuine hard working meritorious candidates will make it harder for the corrupt officials to manipulate the system. So don’t skip the exams & have faith in yourself and God. No one has the guts to fill the posts only with undeserving candidates. So be assured that the final list does have meritorious candidates.

humble request to the successful candidates don’t make any comment which will demoralize the new ACS and allied aspirants. last time more than 500 candidates who cleared preliminary but didn’t sit for mains exam.I know many of them who are very poor and they had grown a false notion that as they wouldn’t be able to give huge amount of bribe in viva so better to quite but of course they were insisted to do so by upper class candidates so called media. I request all those poor talented aspirants don’t be negative study hard and get marks no one can stop you.we have 18 PhD cands iitian doctors masters professors engineers among us.do you think they would buy the jobs.if they can be succeed only with the help of merit why don’t you?don’t allow only rich people to mislead you.plz concentrate on the upcoming preliminary exam which is supposed to be held within 3 months.
don’t support those unsuccessful cands who already have a nice job. you know whom I am indicating. this type of negative viruses will damage your immune system there by your dream.before taking any step just remember it may harm your future.
