The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • @Bandita,I don’t know whether my reply is right or wrong. Would u agree with that?

  • Construction of dams in upstream areas of the river can create major climatic changes on the downstream areas, like creation of flash floods especially during the rainy season. Again the downstream areas may suffer from scarcity of water for harvesting. Again drought like condition is likely to arise in these areas during winter. We all know that most of the major Himalayan rivers are having their lower course in Bangladesh. So the country will have to face these serious threats .
Global warming is the main cause of rising the sea level at an alarming rate.Bangladesh share a long coastline with d bay of Bengal. But due to GW for the last few years no of natural disasters like floods , cyclones etc have increased to a great extent. Against the country is going to lose a vast percentage of its landmass into the sea due to GW with high rise of sea level. So there is no other option but immigration to neighbouring countries. Already the country has touched the level of optimum population.

  • @sameer…appreciate ur good sense of humour..i know prasanta personally…he has a good cause to fight bcoz its simply ridiculous for apsc to award him 105 out of 300 in gs while an average student had been able to score much more than that…he has a right to know the truth..let truth be told ..for which he has already taken the matter to a higher platform and he will comment here no more…its of no use arguing with those selected…among them there r many whom i know n appreciate for their merit…so prasanta’s fight is not against those selected ..instead it is against the system itself..@sameer…kindly mail me..hv certain things to share with u .. rituraz39@gmail.com

  • @bandita, that is why I said the days of writing grammatically correct english are ‘went’ .

tube light tu change kari bulb eta lagai lua. Hunkale jalibo :)

  • “Because this is what is called shameful standard of english for a candidate to be selected for APS.”

Good English!!! Bhat khai nakot tel di ghumai jua. Goodnight & goodbye

  • @bandita, GE paper is of 300 marks. If somebody writes english of this standard in a paper which comprises of 2 essays, precis writing, grammar, current topic he wouldn’t score even 100. Because this is what is called shameful standard of english for a candidate to be selected for APS.

The days of writing grammatically correct english are ‘went’ :p

  • establish relationship between global warming & current Bangladeshi emigration problem in India, with relevant evidences.

@bandita, the above sentence is from your question. Show me the word ‘implications’ in the question. You told me to establish a relation between the two. So I did it.

How the hell global warming will have effect on Bangladeshi immigration. R u talking about global warming or Bangladesh warming! Bangladesh alone has become hotter, so they are coming to India. Tomorrow India becomes hotter where will we go?

  • @rituraj, hari=Adrima=monalisa=ishan=jadunath. One person, many names. So ignore. You will be shocked to know that this guy has been selected for APS! he can give wren and martin a run for their money.
Basically he can talk english, walk english and can f**k the English language.

  • @sameer
This is not punishment assignment. This is to see your depth of knowledge. If u think that u r deprived of a post by apsc, u r wrong. Because u have no basic knowledge even of dam issue.

Also u read questions wrongly. I did not ask the cause, but implications of global warming on Bangladeshi emigration issue. The question might raise eyebrow, but it can also be a question! How? Read the basics of global warming properly. U can get the answer one day!

By the way, nice answer given

    @rituraj
People are seen getting 1st class in BA exam even without proper knowledge of 3rd person singular number or some silly mistake in grammar. Grammar matters only in GE paper, I think.

By the way, liked your comment in the sense that u r good in basics, unlike sameer :) mur kiba bhul thakile dekhuai dibo, val Pam.

So with this last comment, I say goodbye to literate but uneducated, impolite persons like sameer & randip.

  • baah jadu nath baah…no words to appreciate ur brilliance..”if u feels”, “constitution allow”,”most deserved candidate”, “could not ckicked”….i wonder why don’t u write a different book on english grammar??

  • Interesting question! @admin please answer the second question. I think it is the most important question for CCE 2015 :-)

I think Bangladeshis come to assam & smoke bidi in large scale which in turn causes global warming. Evidence-increase in sales of bidi in the bordering areas published in a report by govt of Assam.

Also due huge growth of Bangladeshis the weight of the earth is increasing rapidly. So due to over weight of the earth it is moving towards the sun. This is causing global warming. Evidence – weight of earth published by VLCC shows earth is over weight by 100 million centimetres!

Guys please contribute other relevant cause & evidence

  • @bandita,your second question will raise eyebrows from the greatest of scholars, lmao.

  • @harjit punishment assignment for raising voice for injustice :-) no assignment for supporting scandals hehehe

  • @bandita I am on the same page as you. Will have to Google them for answers. Hope you let me know if you find the answers. If I find I will let you know.I think it’s a fair enough of a deal.

  • @sameer & harjit

Today I got a question. How dam-construction in India affecting bangladesh? Do you think that it will increase Bangladeshi emigration problem in future?

Secondly, establish relationship between global warming & current Bangladeshi emigration problem in India, with relevant evidences.

Since u two guys are seen very active, I think u can help me in knowing these two topics better. Waiting for your answers. Thanks in advance

  • @harjit well said. Who is forcing them? If they want to gain knowledge the admin has created so many threads. Go there. Keep studying. don’t leave the site. Leave the thread. Change the thread.

  • i support prasanta’s courage to fight injustice ,enough of sitting like lame ducks. Also to those who feel that everything posted on the thread is negative, why on earth you follow the comments on this particular 2009 main heading of assam.info, there are other new updates, threads, mcqs for preparation by assam.info, why not follow those links and share knowledge rather than looking at this particular thread if you think this is negative, and why blame admin, don’t you see that they are posting new gs topics and preparation tips in other threads?shocking.
