APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.

APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

CATEGORY
ACS (Assam Civil Service) APS (Assam Police Service) Superintendent of Taxes Superintendent of Excise Inspector of Taxes Inspector of Excise

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. But I have sympathy towards genuine candidates like dinchengfa. For some corrupt guys they might suffer as well. Hope that doesn’t happen n only undeserving candidates are separated from the genuine candidates. Truth should win.

@prasanta good luck. You will win.

Friend…the time has come to demolish this corrupt commission and all of us should fight to punish the culprits. But we must follow the legal way. Nothing will happen if we come to streets crying whole day. Better go to court. The judicial system is still reliable. I am going to file a suit against them. Join me. Need your moral support. This is high time.
We must fight against injustice and evil forces present in our society. The society needs our service. Come forward friends. Dont think about money. Just come forward.

  • omg, have you heard about the ADO controversy by apsc, how on earth you now expect this body to be clean?friends collect money and buy jobs,if you are poor sell one of your kidneys.Disgusting to say the least. In the recently declared agricultural development officer selection list, almost 10 students who did not appear in the exam were selected in the final list.

    @ All
My prediction for 2014 mains cutoff.
Considering 2013 mains cutoff n changed question pattern.
2284 candidates appeared in mains 2013(total candidates applied around in prelims 75000 appeared 44000 in prelims whereas in 2014 total applied was 45000 n actually appeared 29000) Now after all permutation n combination my cutoff stand for mains as oc 790 obc 680 stp 670

    TOPIC- “Role of bureaucracy”
“However, in terms of credibility, a wide gulf exists between the State Public Service Commissions and the UPSC. In recent times, a lot of State Public Service Commissions have come under a cloud for their partisan, biased and politicised functioning”. Critically comment. What do you think are the factors behind the failure of SPSCs to recruit cent percent efficient persons in administration? Do you think the State Public Service Commissions have failed to fulfill the aspirations of public? Do you think nepotism, favoritism, political pressure etc will be the cause of debacle of state administration in near future? Justify your answer with recent examples. (10+5+10+10+5).

  • Go to those backward places & see the status of development for yourself. While analysing the state of development don’t forget to take into account that along with the rest of the regions they also attained independence some 68 years back. They don’t demand for shopping malls, airport, discotheque, big apartments. They demand for a pucca road, primary schools with basic infrastructure in place, hospitals, clean drinking water. Don’t they deserve it in 68 years? How long do you want them to wait? Another 50 years?

Don’t put one sided comments neglecting the genuine pain of the poor. No wonder tomorrow people like you would repeat the same process of negligence after becoming an ACS or a APS. Sad!

  • Everything in this universe has its flaws. It depends on the eyes of the beholder how and what approach should he or she takes: negativity or positives.. Earlier this forum was for good, meaningful discussions. But see now. All the good posts have gone and along with them we have lost some real good people with we could learn a lot, have you ever wondered why have they stopped commenting and guiding on the post. Take din ba for eg, she said she said the posts have become hurtful and so she has stopped posting and i support her completely. And later we plead her to come and guide us again.I have given mains twice. Will give again. And this is my last post too. May god bless us all.

  • That is the core reason for our region’s backwardness.everyone wants everything. And at the end noone gets none. Kamatas wants kamataland, bodos want their own different nagas want their different land and the list is infinite. To top it all no one wants development as the sole priority. We are an expert in finding flaws than looking at the larger picture. This is a vicious cycle and it never stops.

  • Try finding all and we get none.
