APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. To be precise only corrupts would advocate for APSC given it’s proven track record of corrupt practices.. So guys we know why you are in awe of APSC.. Frankly speaking you should be in awe of APSC for it has offered you prestigious jobs like ACS/APS wherein you know you can’t even fairly compete for 4th grade jobs.. So please howl at top of your voice evincing support for your obvious ‘Mai-Baap’.. Just a personal opinion, nothing personal :-)

APSC is totally clean.. That’s why the honorable guwahatit high court scrapped the merit list of CCE 2006.. in fact it’s so clean that former IAS officer Sashasdhar Nath who was serving as a member of APSC had to approach the guwahatit high court in protest against the irregularities & corrupt practices of APSC!!
Before that in 2000, then chairman Taraprasad Das was charged with rampant corruption and income tax raid in his residence unearthed hoard of cash securities which was totally disproportionate to his KNOWN source of income.. Eventually he was sacked..
So it does not take more than horse sense to sense the logic behind supporting an addled organisation like APSC which has left behind a trail of tales of corruption all these years.. Thus APSC has to deservedly bear the wrath of the rejected deserving candidates and the noble souls like Homen Buragohain.. So only fools would advocate for APSC given it’s proven corrupt track record..

And yes I do agree that there are also genuine real meritorious candidates in the list. But what about the deprived who are equally meritorious? Who will give them jobs? We want this exam to be based on entirely merit and only merit. There should not be even one selection which is doubtful. No political links no money power nothing should be there.
It is a humble request to everyone in this forum speaking against all those selected by APSC – If you guys cannot reply in a definite “YES” to the question “Is APSC list entirely unclean?” then please just dare you do not speak a word against all the candidates. Get proof and then talk.
A country cannot run on doubt. if there is really any proof, then go to the Court. The whole situation is based on doubt, Akhil and people who support him doubts some of the candidates cleared illegally. This leads to another doubt, that all selected are illegal. How can you demand something based on Doubt. I bet no-one has any concrete proof, otherwise everyone would have given the proof to the Court. Proof thakile Dharna dibo nalage tu, law will take its course.
Till the time law decides otherwise, all selected candidates are clean and meritorious. No one is above law, Not Akhil, not Abhijeet and certainly not you (those who are shouting without proof) .

If Akhil is vying for popularity and media glare so let it be. What is the problem if by doing so the reality is exposed ? Atleast he is standing for a cause and not just for anything.

My idea – rather than scrapping the list, it should be thoroughly investigated and each and every candidates answer sheets should be sent to forensics. Viva marks should also be scrutinized. And those who are found clean should be appointed and those not should be debarred from future examinations. This way guilty will be punished and the innocents will also not be victimised. I think that’s a more logical stand then shouting for scrapping the list. We all know scrapping the whole list will also harm legitimate candidates. And we all know that there are legitimate candidates.
It’s surprising to see people blaming voices which are raised against injustice,it doesn’t matter what akhil gogoi did before but at present he has taken some very serious issue,the fate of this already backward state can’t be handed over to students who discard dignity and hardwork rather believe in looting others.I would never agree that the whole list is full of frauds,i have friends who have toiled hard and got selected but at the same time i know people whose mere selection will raise your eye-brows.You can’t keep sitting mum and just keep being victims for being poor.
