The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • It feels bad that Akhil Gogoi with so many supporters in this rain ,at khanapara, are shouting slogans against apsc and corruption whereas we the students who actually suffered are sitting silent at home playing mum,Aren’t we the opportunists?

  • Today the geography papers were easy but the second paper was a little bit lengthy…any one with geography optional here?

  • @enthusiastic…pls try to save the roll nos. Of those suspicious candidates…pisot kam ahibo…last time mur logor ajonok ajon dalal approched him regarding appointment , but he refuse to pay up any money, he is now a judicial magistrate at nalbari, pls if u or any one get such call just inform the c.b.i. They can lay a trap n do the rest. Apsc is a constitutional body so c.b.i/acb has its jurisdiction, do not trust assam police because they don’t have the expertise in use of phelopthelin powder. Aebar ki ba ghotala hola bhal dora sai lom.

  • Thanks enthu, btw the fear of optionals looming large ,sunday ko hai english,me studying socio..karl marx and max weber…lol..

  • @enthusiastic,i too have a doubt, where in a report you write the name of the author/writer?just below the report title as given in some internet samples…..or extreme left below the title and the date like “by x/harjit” etc.Or can you write your name at the last after report is completed to the left side like we do in application letters?

Another puzzle is if i have to write a report to someone where do i put his name and designation?is it just below the report title ?and do i write my name/writer’/author’s name at the extreme left below ,after completing the report?please help?

  • @plabon…moi belegok hikabo pora hua nai. .also, I don’t know how much I have scored in English. ..so I don’t think I am the right person to guide you…still, moi jonat…In report writing, first header eta diba. ..say for an event, header can be like..”Sudhakantha remembered fondly”…then in the first para write introduction…here just give the jist of the event…you can wtite like..”an event was held in rangia on the death anniversary of Dr Bhupen Hazarika….” add two three more lines. ..then in the next paras, give details of the event……finally you conclude your report…just one or two extra information. ..
last mains’ t news report ahisil…I was lucky in that…coz during my media days, I wrote countless news reports. ..for that you need to give day and date on the extreme top right. …
also, check some report formats in the internet…it will be helpful….

Interestingly candidates have again submitted blank or near blank answer booklets in the GS exam.. Myriad of excuses ranging from stomach pain to ‘lahe lahe likhim’(in GS.. R U Kidding) were excogitated.. I have made up my mind to take note of such candidates’ roll number and request you all to do so.. Murat iman garu gubar asene je question paper agotiake paiu likhibo nuaro, gharat likhibole dibo lage tahatok :p
