The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. The honorable governor of Assam has evinced keen concern regarding the reported anomalies in APSC.. Yesterday Rakesh Paul was asked to give an explanation tete-a-tete in Raj Bhawan.. Lets see if this can change the tide..
Really pretty difficult position to be in,despite giving the best when results are disappointing, you don’t know what to do,what if things get repeated ?
Yes,this list should be scrapped..they have done huge injustice..no point sitting in mains if u r competing for just 20 percent of the seats..lets go for a protest march..hunger strike..any genyine student leader here? Common fruends..lets fight for our rights..
abhijeet sharma was supposed to file the PIL,called him few days ago.Don’t know current status.
@ All
All r frustrated inclding me…bt d fact is dat there is virtually no prof left by this apsc guys to convict them. Lets all try our best in d next mains which is right in front of us.At least for d time being we should concentrate on our studies.
@All The list should be scrapped at any cost, I have given Viva 2 times but alwz stucked in the final round. Time is very short as verification process will be done shortly for 241 candidates so we all should gather and create a halla bol else we will be in same seat and apsc will continue with its design.
@ Pran.. Yes we should fix a date for dharna now. We need justice. I dont know whether I will be able to make it to the final list if the selection is transparent, but at least the deserving and the meritorious should find their names in the list. Aru tumi ekdam hosa kotha koisa jodi etia aami step nolou. hodai ei forum’ote nijor dukh bedona bur gai thakibo lagibo… Soeone in this forum mentioned about a son of a present minister who has been selected for ACS and who threw a party even before the results were out! I wonder if by any means we could get hold of such conversation and party time in video recording !
