In 1952. Bodo Sahitya Sabha is the largest literary and cultural organization of the Bodo people. It works for promotion of Bodo language, literature and culture. On November 16, 1952, Bodo Sahitya Sabha was founded under the presidency of Joy Bhadra Hagjer. The first General Secretary was Sonaram Thaosen. Since it’s inception, Bodo Sahitya Sabha is working for development and promotion of Bodo language. The current head office of the organization is located at Kokrajhar, BTAD, Assam.
