Devicharan Baruah Girls’ College

Devi Charan Baruah Girls’ College (aka D.C.B. Girls College) is an institution of higher education in Jorhat, Assam. The D.C.B. Girls’ College was established in 1955, in the memory of Rai Bahadur Devicharan Baruah. The college was the first women college in upper Assam. Started with an enrolment of only 56 students and 12 teachers, the Assam college has a full enrolment capacity of about 1800 students in both Arts and Science stream combined.
