APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. @Rakhi , I agree with Pranjal. If u have gaps in your career or academic line, you surely would be in a losing position. And having a job doesn’t disqualify you for final selection otherwise it would have been mentioned that employed cannot apply for the positions. Your speculation is subjective and there is no objective validity in it.
Except freshers those without any work experience for 6-7 years(after graduation or what) ll definitely suffer.In allotting VIVA marks Members ll definitely consider it as his disadvantage.It is as sample as in any other interview whether private or govt.
rakhi sawant type comment dila dekhon.wether employed or not had nothing to do with selection only the best suitable candidate will be selected even though some may be selected through alternate channels.

@Rakhi..that is the most bizarre thing I have heard. They won’t be able to fill 240 posts from 490 candidates if they do what you are saying. Maximum of us are employed.

@All…friends regarding call date of candidates, I heard dat a lottery was held according to which the date fixed for each candidate was purely random
On the first day of viva.. The Principal Controller of Examinations himself said that viva calling is purely random this time..
there was also a theory that people were called on the basis of their mark ,i.e those with higher marks were called first but i strongly discard such theories.
I am pretty sure that candidates bilak according to marks and category vivat call korisil. Candidates were divided into categories like obc, general, sc, st, rfw and others aru interview tut jar besi marks tak agote matisil. Jeneke Jodi 40 ta viva hoi 1st dayt, they have a fixed number of each category called on that day and subsequently the next day in descending manner of their marks.

btw this thing about calling those with high marks cannot be true. …I have few friends who were called early. …and they are very confident about good result…this is pure rumour. ..
