The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • best of luck to all…..have a frustration free Sunday…..

  • @Frustrated-

You are right. At least, you know the harsh reality that competitive examsat university examar nisina marks nidiye..For instance, UPSC 2013 Topper Gaurav Agrawal had scored 769 out of 1750 in written, which is a mere 44%

Similarly, in APSC also, very few people score abnormally high in mains. Last time, only 10 people had crossed 850 (this is as per RTI reply).

I know Frustrated personally. He has no intention of discouraging anyone in this forum. It is just that he has faced the harsh reality himself once and hence hopes that others don’t go through the same that he had to !

  • Dear friends, my optional subjects are history and education. I expect in history 250 as I completed the both papers and in education I have not completed, but expected 230. English was not good I expect only 100 and in GS, I expect 190 . But, I did my Degree in Science(maths), so, I have no idea how to get good marks in these optional subjects. Will I qualify for the Interview. I am ST(P)

  • @Nirmaily Sociology and Antrho optionals are not allowed.

  • @Nirmaliy

Looks like there is something seriously fishy about you and your expectations. How come you have anthropology and sociology as optionals. The combo of these two subjects is not allowed as per the advertisement.

Did the commission specially grant you permission coz……….??????
