The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.

Hi pinky dutta,can you please tell us how much you scored in sociology last time?
@Pinky Dutta: Thanku madam for d valuable suggestions. You are like d island of prosperity (one who took sociology n cracked d exam with such high rank) amidst d sea of despair. Myself took sociology n got thru d mains. Mentioned about u few dayz back while replying to some1′s query regarding optionals. I too feel, the key is writing the same answers again n again and improvising on it.
atiya ami UPSC prelims dim ne APSC viva? ene lge apsc e sob janiye date clash koray…6 months pisuale result..viva 10 days pisot hole ki prblm asil? i m going to tweet CM regarding dis…sokoloe korok…
@Skud…Yes writing in bullet points and writing to the point answers will definitely fetch u more marks in GS… I used 2 read a lot of articles onli9 during my preparation days as well as 4rm newspapers. Yes i had both Sociology n Education as my optionals…My simple way of writing answers was that i never prepared a specific answer 4 a specific question….what I used 2 do was dat on a specific topic, i used to read it 4rm different books n i kept practising writing an answer again and again so that i keep improving on my answer…..As far as mains exams is concerned i think one needs 2 practice writing a lot as the question paper is very lengthy.
4 English grammar Wren and Martin should suffice
@ amarjyoti….. you can seek info under the rti act only once the entire recruitment process is over.
1. write an application (sample available in internet)
2. enclose a photostat copy of admission certificate for cce(m)15
3. remit a fee of Rs 10 through IPO or in cash ( if you wish to submit your application in person at apsc office counter)
@Pinky Dutta
Could you please suggest books or blogs for
1.General Studies
2.General English
3.Education (if it was your optional)
4.Sociology (if it was your optional)
Kindly suggest if Coaching is necessary….can one write bullet points while answering long question in GS?…wil it fetch desired marks ?….what was your answer writing strategy…..?

Hello everyone, I haven’t been commenting in this wonderful platform 4 Civil Service aspirants since a long time after our results were out last year. Heartiest Congratulations 2 all those who have cleared CCE 2015 mains….I am not trying to scare you all but you have reached the toughest part of your journey so far. I am a nobody to advise anyone, but would like 2 share with you all my views regarding the last hurdle which is the toughest of all. Try to be very accurate n specific about what you choose to read during this short span of time in the lead up 2 ur interview date..N most importantly just studying does not suffice, one has 2 learn the art of speaking while answering to the questions asked by the respected panel members, so if possible practice speaking as much as possible. Be confident when you speak but be truthful to youself, one lie spoken in front of the interview board may land you in trouble…So be d person u are in front of the panel. Last but not d least U need 2 b smartly dressed rather than well dressed. Your confidence will help you win half the battle. Gud luck every1…God bless u all.
2 all d others who did not clear the mains…please dont lose faith in yourself…attempt the next prelims with confidence….there is alwz a next time. Gud luck 4 d CCE prelims 2017
@The Indian
Thank you…..!!!
