APSC CCE 2009 Final Cutoff Marks (Mains + Interview)
APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2013 candidates who appeared in Mains exam are now waiting for the results. What was the cutoff last year? How was your performance? Was it good enough to make it to the list? This article is for those APSC mains candidates. Find below the cutoff marks for various categories against various posts in APSC CCE 2009.
APSC Combined Competitive Examination 2009 Final Cutoff:
Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducts Combined Competitive Examination for recruiting in various posts under Assam Civil Services and allied services. Following are the category wise cutoff marks of APSC CCE Final exam 2009 (also called as 2011), result of which was announced on April 26, 2013.

The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. lets go through some statistics…in 2014 CCE 70 candidates got above 800 in mains… as 2014 was held under Mr paul so there are some candidates who got d opportunity to write mains xam at Pauls residence or somewhere else aftr d xam…out of 70 at least 40 candidates got dat opportunity…although it might b more den 40…so 30 candidates at best got above 800 genuinely…so i think 970 may b safe for ACS OC…this is just speculation…ur opinions may vary…
@pleomax what is ACS class-1??? Is there any difference between ACS and ACS class-1???
Some members here don’t read the comments WELL and jump to conclusions.Anyways every one has right to disagree as we are not building consensus here.Everyone’s opinion matters.Simply clearing cut off doesn’t serve anything.I guess Raj and Rahul asked about final cut offs,more so for ACS Class one and for Gen Male OC Candidates.
I dont agree. even when manipulation was there in 2013 and 2014 the cut off for mains was around 766 in 2013 and 739 in 2014. this time no manipulation. so 750 mains cut off approx. 850 would be a safe score. and finally 980 to 1000 would fetch ACS

1031 including interview for the last selected OC Gen Male in 2013 CCE.Average cut off marks in mains was around 875-885.In CCE-2014 it was almost the same but baring the 1 ranker.First 15 got in the range of 880-910 in mains.Above datas are for Gen M OC Cat.This time,CCE 15 I feel it may decrease.Most in CCE 13 got marks in GS and GE that were phenomenal.Divine providence I guess.This time anticipating the rules to be a bit different as manipulation in Mains is expected to be eliminated.Final cut off for ACS,my conservative estimate should be around 850-870 in mains.
@ Pleomax Buddy, how much marks does a candidate requires to get ACS Class -1?…….Please throw some light regarding this matter.
@Rahul..I see .Previous years APSC had been strict with the rest .The favoured lot were liberally evaluated.Anyways neutral attitude is expected.Strictness is needed so that no manipulation takes place and correct evaluation is done.I feel it may not mean awarding low marks.
@pleomax…i hv included viva also…i wl nvr get 950 in mains..m nt so talented vai…if evaluation of answer scripts remain same standard lyk yesteryears i m getting around 850…considering d fact dis tym apsc wl b very strict so i m expecting 800+150 total 950..lets c wat happen…til den wl prepare for next cce..

@Rahul..Two cents opinion.Including interview 950 may not beget ACS Class -1.If you mean 950 marks in the mains only,you are within 1-2.
