The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • Assamese is the official language of Assam. Other co-official languages are
Bengali (In the three districts of Barak Valley),Bodo (In the four districts of Bodoland Territorial Council).
Therefore Assamese cannot be ruled out at least for non-Barak and Non-BTC ones.

  • @Bandana…Just keeping your rhetoric aside ,I do support that Assamese should be made compulsory for one and all for all those who intend serving in Assam. If you have seen the advertisements for CCE,till now the requirement is only for Indian citizenship.Everyone can apply and get selected.Since we have been seeing malpractices candidates from other states were not interested due to lack of so called links. Now we assume APSC will be efficient and absolutely clean.Besides if you have read the MPB report ,it calls for Bengali (probably for Barak) and English for Hills Candidates.Retaining Indian citizenship and Bengali for Barak will invite all merit from Tripura to WB etc etc…Compete with all of them..because now merit will only be counted…That is my point ..besides the point raised by Rahul is also pertinent.

  • Ha….ha….Now where are those shameless rumour-mongers of this forum who were yelling their throat out in saying that there would be no new advt in the coming days?……these unscrupulous fellows even predicted that there would would be no new advt for the upcoming 5 or 6 years.Their only motive was to divert the minds of the genuine aspirants n demoralise them thoroughly…..how can anyone stoop to such a low level to fulfil their vested interests?…..Ae misolia kitak kan tolia sor dibo lage.

  • If pattern change . Then language subject be added as per upsc pattern . 3 language Assamese, bengali , bodo . But what abt candidate from hill areas like north cachar hills who dnt knw abv 3 language . Thy hv their own language which can only speak.. I think multi language state like assam language paper not possible. If apsc n govt done it , it will lead to protest..
