The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • in simple language…. RK Paul cannot be removed by Sarba or Himanta so easily…even the governor PB Acarya can be removed within hours very easily… the case of RK paul is very complex and difficult… it will take much time… After all RKP was a lawyer, he has done everything cluelessly (!)… even if Sarba/Himanta wish they cannot do that… All 7 members of the commission are selected by Congress Govt… The present Govt can completely change it (Poribortan) only after 2/3 years…

    (2) The President, in the case of the Union Commission or a Joint Commission, and the Governor _263*** in the case of a State Commission, may suspend from office the Chairman or any other member of the Commission in respect of whom a reference has been made to the Supreme Court under clause (1) until the President has passed orders on receipt of the report of the Supreme Court on such reference.

    (3) Notwithstanding anything in clause (1), the President may by order remove from office the Chairman or any other member of a Public Service Commission if the Chairman or such other member, as the case may be,-

    (a) is adjudged an insolvent; or

  • @jitaranjana U said in ur comment “CM to complain to Pres..if Pres satisfied..repeat satisfied..its nt mandatory” Brother check your book U must be reading American Constitution. if U don’t agree with my earlier comments its ok, but don’t call fool others.

  • @jitaranjana cool down, read this it will give you peace in heart. No where in constitution is written that a person to become a chairman of a public service commission has to become member of that board first. I dnt find anywhere in Art. 316 & again nowhere in Constitution is written abt time limit to conduct enquiry against chairman or member of public service commission ( i dnt find any time limit in Art.317). If Government of assam recommend through governor to president to coduct enquiry against the chairman. Than the President wil ask Supreme court to conduct enquiry, as i said earlier there is no any time limit, so supreme court can conduct enquiry even in one single month. If they find any evidence than they suggest president to remove chairman of that board & supreme court can ask CBI to make investigation to get concrete evidence against the chairman. As I all know Chairman is the mastermind behind all corruption in Apsc, CBI easily will get evidence if they go through mains exam Copies. & another thing if chairman seat becomes vacant, existing member wil perform functions of the chairman until a new chairman get appointed.

  • @ Jitaranjana
Why B R Ambedkar n his team made dis provisions so tough?? Perhaps they thought members ll b persons of high self esteem n integrity,n their independece should b fairly protected so dat they can do their duty widout fear n favour. But alas…opposite is happening!!!!

  • It’s really surprising ….#bd. …despite having pol science backgound you believe in such nonsene news …

  • Ankur..CM to complain to Pres..if Pres satisfied..repeat satisfied..its nt mandatory..may order an enquiry on the charges levelled..by a sitting SC judge…the judge to enquire nd submit report..if charges levelled are proved to b true..he may be removed..this is d only way for removal…no other way..

  • Rickey..Bandana..Bd..these stupids shd not waste their time in comp exams..they lack d simple common sense..eko kam nohole forum khule keba eta post delei hol aaru..aaru tar pesot..post tu dlu.etiya ba kune ke comment deye..fools

  • According to art 317 state govt can initiate d process of removal, even president can remove him without any enquiry if he is deemed unfit (plz correct if i m wrong)…Present governor is utterly dissatisfied wid paul. Prothom dangor poribartan eitui hobo lage.

  • @Nibir u r correct…theres a long constitutionsl pocedure for removal..Atanu Bhuyan …that person”s name doesnt desreve to be uttered in this forum..

  • Amndmnt in 2005…APSC -7 mem= 6 mem nd Chairman…Doley,Samedur,Borthakur plus three others app very recently…Paul till 2019…first to retire is Samedur in 2017…tar pesot he Sarba Himantaur jadu..keba jode dekhuabo khuje…its a very delicate issue..powerot aahle matro….they are nt going to use this brahmastra of cleaning d APSC before d next election 2021..remember Himanta said Grade 3 4 postot interview nalage..that decision has already bn taken in the first cabinet..now don’ t expect anything new..just keep your fingers crossed how many are going to b selected from Himanta dadas aashirbad..
