The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • Friends plz discuss prelim 2015 cut off.

  • yes history has some unacceptable advantages which is not fair ,i admit it being a vast syllabus with more hardwork to study but once apsc has given other optionals to choose from, allowing 180+ marks in history/paper is anomaly if you get only 70/80marks/paper in other optionals like education or sociology. There must be some level playing ground, atleast 120/130/paper must be given.Last year i appeared in interview got good scores but due to poor marking in optionals despite doing well, simply ruined my chances.APSC mustn’t do this.

  • @ankur whenever one look at a question paper after the exam is over he always feels it was very easy…history would be easy because lot of good books are available simple & easily digestible…no prior concept or understanding is required..so history seems very easy…it looks easy even in upsc prelims!!! But the truth is , it depends upon ones preparation also…some good friends told that political science paper was good but the weightage was given to another portion of the given syllabus…so did mechanical engineers told the paper was simple..don’t know much about other papers but why so speculative or envy other optionals??? If you think history is easy just take it…history is bound to be largely factual…you claim to score 90+ in economics than you will definately score 100 in history…just take it..

  • Last time CBI enquiry was rejected by d highest court of d country ..Law has its own flaws ….However we can write letters to New Cm to keep eye on the selection process of 2014 CCE and pressurise Paul sahab to main kind of transparency ….I would write a letter to him …everyone of you can do d same creating public conciousness of the issue even before Interview …

  • Ami sabe mili natun govt CBI enquiry karane request diba lage. sesta korat problem ki. Congress mukta Assam corruption free APSC. LETS FIGHT FOR JUSTICE.

  • Even by conservative estimate 50% seats are given to undeserving candidates in liu of money.. So to accommodate these candidates another 50% genuine candidates have been kicked out as only 371 candidates have been called for PI.. We will also have to feel for these genuine candidates… Then in the end another genuine 50% candidates will be kicked out to accommodate those undeserving 50% candidates as there are only 180 vacant posts.. That is what happened in CCE 2013..

  • All
    Can anyone tell me,
why history optional has extra blessing both in prelime n mains? In 2013 mains almost all historians got 70-90%,except very few. In prelims 2015 history paper was d most easiest.I know d marks f some friends who had history as optional..they got selected in inspector level post. For betterment they appeared in 2015 plelims too. They said anyone who studied history upto class 12 can easily score 80% in 2015 paper. But other papers in prelims(2015) like eco,pol science education were somewhat quite tough. I hv scored 90+ in eco in both 2013 n 2014 prelims…but this time it wz a bit tough. It can be understandable if all papers hv more or less d same toughness. But why only history paper has extra advantages, its beyond my understanding. Can anyone put a reasonable theory? R history papers r cut n checked by members themselves?

  • There is more than one reason to strongly believe that last time GS paper was leaked …moreover History optional got special blessings …..and those blue blooded candidates who could not fetch enough marks even after that, were given rest of the marks through Interview…However have to accept the fact that there were few candidates in the list who got selected purely on merit. ..

  • scandal interview t ajikali kom hoy…apsc r scandal prelims aru mains t hoy…prelims r quesns selected quesn khini agote supply dia hoy…aru mains t blank answer script joma di after exam tat sai sai likhibo dia hoy…so mains t bht val marks ahi jay…so interview t bht kom depend kore kothakhini…tothapi moi bisaru genuine candidate khini interview dbo jaok…last tym APS pua student leader prestigious college r GS r girlfren aibar list t ase…

  • @unknown thnx buddy

  • I heard our beloved ex CM gave ultimatum to Mr. Paul to declare mains rslt bfr election, that’s why he gave byte on tv & rslt on 18th may. Now At least 20-30 candidates are deep tension due to govt. change. I wish, in place of those 20-30 candidates genuine candidates should get selected in the final list. @Golmaal go for interview buddy
