APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.
@Ruby HAHAHA..aji office bandh j.. so predict koriu ki pabo ;-)
aji staurday aru first time sage forumt result dibo ne nai kuneu eku predict nokorile.
Guys if someone doubts APSC you always have the exit door…do something which you believe is fair & excel in that…the so called harsh reality has a very negative impact for someone who believes in karma…we discuss things which are not in our control…guys this really have an negative impact…in mains so many factors comes into play knowledge, writing skills, luck etc..unlike in prelims where we only have to darken some spots…some guys are speculating the ratio, a factor beyond our control..please read the high court verdict in apsc website, if the ratio is small then some aspirants like file case & delays the process…again some are saying screening test was not mentioned in the original ad, then again the process of recruitment belongs to the authorities & I am sure somewhere it was mentioned that some sort of screening test would be done if number of candidates were very high..in case of BDO there were more than 22400 applications…so instead of whining we should be happy that some sort of screening took place & the deserving gets a chance to compete among the deservings…
@caporegime, there is no mention about the ratio.. They hardly follow what they say in notification :-) in fact the screening test finds no mention in the recruitment notification.. There it was mentioned about a written test of 250 marks & then the viva… Devising a selection ratio of 1:38 is simply dubious… Seems like apsc is very accommodating :-)
In CCE, 11 to 12 times of the total posts are called for writing the mains.
This time in BDO exam,however, more than 38 times the number of posts have been called.
I am really finding something fishy out here. BDO notification ulaute, written exam loi kiman matibo koisil neki baru!!
may be they have selected some marks as a base..for example 60% and all those scoring above 60% are considered for mains. Because even considering the fact that large number of candidates getting equal marks, 420 is a huge number to be in an even ratio.
I would like to congratulate all those who have cleared the bdo screening test. Since the number of vacancies r very few this is going to be a really tough contest.a harsh reality is that in the end money is going to play the ultimate role.
Why they have selected 420 candidates for 11 posts for mains? Is there any pre-defined ratio? Or is it a ploy to get better price per post?
Congratulations to all who have been through the prelims stage. For the next stage, do have a detailed plan because probability of 11 out of 420 is very competitive.
@all..cleared BDO screening test….congratulations to all also for cleaning…good luck
@Unknown Hahaha…Same thoughts Bro!
I think all those who have cleared BDO prelims co-ordinate through facebook or whatsapp and help each other for mains by sharing important stuffs. More suggestions are welcome in this regard
