The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • Forum members should maintain etiquette in whatever they post in this forum. By indulging ourselves in off topic discussions and recriminations we are only retrograding ourself and nothing else.

@Randip..for culture nitin sir notes are way too good. If you hv time just visit ccrt website.

  • @Indian,thanks for telling about Vision ias.just checked it,seems to be good.

  • Yeah Indian,i am trying to finish Hindu atleast the editorials daily.Other topics i will try to cover from standard books like laxmikant, ncerts, etc.wanna clear it i know i can but after giving around 11 hours to job is left with very less time.

  • @Randip… I suggest you also keep yourself abreast with current affairs, as many questions are invariably linked to it in one way or the other. Vision IAS current affairs is pretty decent in its content and should suffice, considering you must be reading a national daily everyday. In case you want an online collection, a website called xaam.in should be helpful

  • @Randip … No brother, am not preparing for UPSC. Past my heydays. However, I shall be glad to be of any assistance in case you need any

  • @Indian,R y appearing for upsc.lets discuss about strategy for prelims.I am reading culture by Singhania. Will focus specially on History,Culture and environment.Since i work full time,i have paucity of time.cant read everything to my hearts content.Any advise by you dude.R u prepating full time?

  • Why do you let APSC get on to your nerves? Look at the way the discussions degenerate on this forum. As mentioned before, please refrain from letting your emotions getting the better of you. I understand its easier said than done, considering that you have been in the receiving end of the malpractices of APSC. But, except taking the available legal recourse, nothing much can be done.

Further, it is not going to pay any dividends by trying to enroll student/pseudo political organizations in your fight against injustice. In some way or the other, some in their rank and file are embroiled in the unholy nexus that you are so desirous of fighting against. The friend of your enemy does not make a good friend, do they?

My advice, and if you want you may take it with a pinch of salt, is to appear continuously for various non-APSC examinations and compete at the pan-Indian levels. Though the competition is tougher, it can definitely help you in solidifying your foundations.

  • Meanwhile, the date for notification of UPSC CSE 2016 draws closer

  • Randip is a liar.get lost

  • @Jitaranjana,the fight is for justice my friend.nothing personal not against Pal or any individual, its against our corrupt degraded system of selection.doesnot you feel bad for the hard working meritorious students who prepate for months and years but someone less deserving less hardworking gets selected due to some ‘links’ or money power.APSC jobs are not prrsonal fiefdoms of anyone. We as Asomiya has equal rights. You may be thinking that why to bring 13 issue when 14 and 15 results are awaited, but friend we cannot forget injustice. It is this forgetfullness of public memory, which incentises such corrupt behaviour.Suupose the same thing is reprated in 14 and 15,whst will you do,wait for 16 &17? and the cycle will continue. This deprivation is against our fundamental rights as citizens and we can fight against such injustice.JOIN FB GROUP FIGHT AGAINST INJUSTICE OF APSC.you will get many updates.

  • No need to show so much frustration over the ongoing court case against apsc in SC.. you don’t have any option but to go to the court for justice.. That’s what the constitution says… The results may or may not be favourable to you… Take it or leave it…

  • @Jitaranjana,dhanyabad tumi nijor porichoy nijei dila.such intolerant behaviour doesnot fall under OLQ required to be an administrative officrr.why r u panicking by a simle post?what is at stake dude?matter is in highest court of appeal in India, and the judgement order at HC was favourable for the litigants i.e Akhil,Okram etc.SC will definitely make truth prevail and justice will be delivered.just wait for few more months. The way HC gave a favourable order,SC too will give because poor meritorious students cannot be deprived for eternity.Just tell me one thing Jitaranjana, was the 13 list totally honest?

  • Ei..Randip bula suwa seleka tu aaru aahe olol neki..sala nelaz..aaru kunudin post nidiu bule koy aaru adin pesote aahe olay…toi ei CBI enquiry ,SC judgement eibur eyat falebo nalage..everyone knows about it..toi eitu khobor tu ei forum t big breaking/sensational news deso bule vabeso no..actually tohot -whoever is fighting a lost battle against 2013 list ..hole eta eta dalal..vabeso Pal ok olop pressure ot rakhle kejani tok olop consider koreye diya selectionot…Pal jegat moi thakele tuk lengta kore pitiluhoi…sorot pat aaru pani d d..tur nechena belegor kothat nocha bure Pal or bal edalo singibo nuaro.

  • @Cp,hope for the best dude.Guys anyone giving UPSC pre this time.Guys lets discuss about the strategy for UPSC pre.We have around 100 days in hand.i am working full time and is left with very less time to ptepare but wanna fight.Culture and environment will be crucial again?any plans guys?

  • @randip…..hey don’t get upset ….all the guys here are just pissed off cus of the delay….I just admire Ur patience that you got to followup with the case update.
I m not sure about the outcome of this case or whether will it change the 2013 list , but I know some order / judgement will be out in the end which might help changing the present scenario of apsc….

  • Mains after UPSC prelims is good.if both donot have enough gap then it will impact preparation of both adversely because we end up in a dilemma to choose one at the cost of other.Aug 7 upsc pre is fixed.
