The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.
APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. If you see the no of days taken by others state commission(UP, BIhar, Arunachal etc) to declare result yuo will realise that APSC is doing excellent job…..previous prelim result was declared within 45 days which is not an easy task…… So lets keep patience and pay respect to our commission.

Hi
I had called up apsc office nd they have said dat rslt will be declared in dec .
It is noteworthy that since bout 2 months whenevr I had called them up I have been told about Dec, hence it seems 2 be possible dat d rslt will be declared in Dec only.
I aleo askd if Dec starting /mid/end but didnt got any confirmation on dat.
Mere speculations on mains result date is helping no one. Instead let’s discuss on viva, which some of us will face if selected. What are the topics/questions to be prepared? May be, hobbies, current affairs, Assam? How long, on average, is the viva? Any dress code?
Guys, let’s use this forum positively. Result will come, when it has to; there is no point in frustrating our peace and patience.

@Raghab.Ys; Rajib Das n Rajen Das is the same person.He seems to be a broker n it is sure that he is not a candidate.He not only creates confusion in the forum but misleads the others who may hv faith in their merit.This stupid tries to show that he has known person in the APSC n he can contact thm even in the very early morning. It is better to avoid this stupid person.
Guys
Ya Admin..agree wid u.Those who r hoping to crack mains should start preparation now bcoz ,shortlisted candidates ll hardly get time after mains result.Last time mains result was declared on 31 december n viva held frm 18 january.
@vivek,
Thanks for your input. That’s exactly what we wanted to say!
@all users,
As this is not facebook, you’ll hardly notice a lot of activity (and useless replies) on our pages. But that doesn’t mean only a handful of people are viewing those pages. Thousands of people visits those pages every day. And most of them are regular visitors from Assam. Please don’t mislead them by posting wrong info, specially related to results. APSC is little lazy in handling matters. Everyone is aware of that fact. We already discussed the matter with some people related to APSC. But no one was able to give us the actual date. And we are not going to publish their guess here!
Those who appeared in APSC 2014, should start preparing for Mains. You can utilize your free time by discussing useful topics with fellow candidates. Here, you can use the forums section is for that purpose.

It seems that nobody has any credible info regarding rslt date hence I think its better to sit back and wait. Engage in some othr wrk (prep for mains 14 ). Mere speculation will help none and only increase frustration .
P.S. :: I hav called up numerous contacts both inside nd outside Apsc.
