APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:
Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.
Date of APSC 2013 Main results:
Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. For views and opinion related to APSC civil services exam, don’t forget to view this APSC 2013 discussion page.

Another official sources informed us that declaration of the Mains result may be delayed beyond Nov. 2014, but APSC will try to declare it at the end of Oct. 2014/or beginning of Nov. 2014.
Oh, are they really going to announce it that early. Technically, they should do it before prelims. Somebody please confirm.
Heard mains results will be declared on 25th September. Anybody knows anything regarding this. Apparently some people inquired with the APSC and they said the result will be out by 25th.
@Babul .. Please elucidate d new formula to derive expected cut-offs, if any. Nice to see dat all your figures r multiples of 10. Post prelims, a few candidates were extra sure of getting around 280-300. They could not clear. So, many candidates were seen to b happy n confident before n after d mains is a crap. Please do not consider this as a major pivot to raise d cut off’s.

@Pranjit,
What is meant by “attendance mark in interview”?
Interview consists of 200 marks with NO qualifying marks(Mentioned in the Advt 06_2013)
I heard there is attendence mark in interview….is that true
Guys, could somebody talk about the interview also. Anybody having previous experience could throw some light on it. How long does it go on per person, what things are asked, what does one need to study for the interview, questions are asked in english or assamese, one needs to reply in which language, how much time does one get to prepare once the mains results are declared.
Also, will the candidates get to know their individual Mains marks?
Also, will the cut offs of the Mains be declared immediately after the announcement of Mains results?
rr, i think the cut offs could rise by atleast 10 marks (could rise by 15 also) for the OC and Gen categories. For the rest it could rise by around atleast 5-10 marks. Thats what i feel. Rest are free to discuss.
Bikram, what will be the cut off, what do you think?
This time i think the cut offs are going to rise. There was tough competition. People looked confident before and after the exams. Cut offs are sure to rise for 2013 Mains compared to the 2009 cut off marks, no doubt.
Yes Ankita! I have a clue : The previous cut-offs
Apart from that, can there be any other clue(s)?
Any clue about the cut off marks for mains written exam excluding interview for the year 2013?
