The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • @SAMEER,ONE OF THE DEMANDS SCRAPPING THE LIST ONLY.A CBI INQUIRY WILL MAKE EVERYTHING CLEAR…

  • Agree with sameer.. went through supreme court site for case list. Case is against the chairman by Akhil Gogoi.

  • Yes I agree with Sameer

  • @randip, brother I appreciate your fight against apsc… But I think the fight is little mis-directed.. The issue should have been scrapping the merit list.. But those involved made it an issue of disproportionate assets of Rakesh Paul.. Even if the SC orders CBI enquiry against him, it may not be enough to scrap the list.. Both can be treated as different issues by the SC.. I don’t understand why the core issue got diverted towards personal assets of the chairman.. The high court doesn’t have power to enquire the chairman(the lawyers knew it, right?) but it has power to scrap the merit list.. So why did you play the loosing game?

Sometimes I think this is a political game being played to score some brownie points.. The mis-directed court case is just a show piece to garner public sentiment.. Pardon me if I am wrong..but I still ask why a case was not filed to scrap the list?

Please correct me wherever you find me wrong @randip..

  • The same applies to the “Sources” mainly “insiders” of APSC. Leaking information is a crime. If caught, as you said “extent of loosing the job”.

  • The point is who would sacrifice own service career by leaking a confidential file.It can make somebody punishable to the extent of loosing the job.
The way is head down and move out. Sighhhh

  • @ Siva & Peter.. Any info about Forest Ranger results?

  • @james, you are right.. The count down for results declaration will only begin when the controller leaves apsc. Not before that.. I guarantee that.. Just wonder what if after declaration of the mains results prepared by Paul, the transferred controller comes out with the original result sheet & give it to the media & court :-) :-) Le panga!

  • @James.. Do you think APSC will make such a blunder? You said results were ready by 29th Jan itself, but controller failed to get it passed. Point here is – Even after the controller is transferred, he will still have the original list in his possession. Even if the list changes (as u said) afterwards, the controller can make it public and sue APSC for the corrupt practices.

So, how can you expect APSC (evrytym gets clean sheet) will leave such an error?

  • Memorizing ready made answers from coaching institutes and being selected as CS is a big zero. But truth is we can’t do anything but watch.

  • James are u serious because when I personally enquired I got the same news which is provided by peternorth ….mains result in April preliminary by Feb …..if ur true then i don’t think competing in Apsc will yield any result because all posts will be occupied by bloody assholes by kickbacks….no chance for merit

  • Man,its not about rules and acts. Its about placing candidates in the list who have already paid.Since Controller is the obstacle they are finding loopholes with microscope.
I have talked about it in this forum many time .

  • @james, I don’t remember the date but I can tell you the month.. It was in July ’15… Where was the CM when the then controller was involved in the examination process in spite of the fact that his daughter was taking the mains’14? Remember he was transferred only after the completion of the mains..

  • Two baseless allegations.
1.He is linked with some coaching centre
2.He is a contributing author of a guide book of General studies.which he is.
But there are no such grounds that if u write a book you can’t be the controller. There are big names in apsc question setter list whom I dnt want to name teaches at coachings.(you all know it)

@Golmaal can u provide me the month and date when present controller took charge in APSC.

  • @james, I have no idea about the allegations against the controller.. Kindly elaborate about the same..

  • A serious insider info.In a day or two CM will declare an enquiry about the allegations levelled against the controller. In 15 days time he will be shunted out and result would be declared within 4 days.Which would be made by Paul afresh. The original result was ready to be declared by 29th Jan but was not allowed to.

  • Today went to meet exam cntrlr….mains result after march and prelims result by 1st week of march…he told….

  • rashmeerekha on

    Getting bored with apsc
    ..so unpredictable…
    Katiya result dibo….

  • Ur right cp but i don’t think that PI before April last

  • Look guys there is no meaning talking about the past or thinking what is going to happen in the future…. The important is that we focus in our present scenario…brace yourself for the coming PI ( for those who r confident of clearing the mains )
@ Siva …pls continuing shareing what other important topics u would like to focus on…
