The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • Last time many got 180plus in PI.so to compete we have to get that or try to get that .so instead of other things discuss some topics.because PI will definitely be held in Feb last or March first.so better start……

  • If anyone expecting call for PI then please post some important topics.if u have to rise above the bloody stupid people who purchase apsc job then u have to be something like unstoppable in PI only then u can expect a job.otherwise a big NO

  • Do u people really think that doing all these will yield something.i think no….i am not getting negative but practical. This whole corrupt system is so strong .

  • Guys so much pressure has been created that he will be transfered soon and within a night time result sheet will change.
Please write to Assam Tribune atleast

  • Eagerly waiting for the day to come when the good will rule over the worst.

  • @James
U r right.. He is very genuine person.. Even though i don’t know him personally but i have heard good about him.. Nowadays ethics and morality are of no use..

  • @All Comrades
Guys there is widespread conspiracy against the Controller of exam. The devil is trying its level best against him. Some media houses are also hand in glove.
I sincerely request everyone to write atleast a letter to editor staing about the honest service record of the controller. That no one is taking any coaching centre’s name is the proof he has no attachment with any coaching.Again books printed after his appointment at the present post donot contain his name as author.

This is a crusade.Atleast we can write few lines in his support.
    Please everyone take it seriously.

  • Who told you that

  • # mains result , 30 January, 6 Feb , 13 Feb …….not before election

  • @Throb. I believe getting questions common in gs, english for some coaching institute is ok. It only proves the efficiency of the institute rather than malpractice. This is bcoz the candidate any way needs to know the answer to write. So its ok. What is worrying is the use of money and impersonification in exam which needs curbing.

  • CCE 2014 mains results count down starts from 6th February…

  • Last apsc 2013 was myriad with lot of mal practices and illegalities…..don’t know about 2014 .

  • Getting that much marks is seriously a joke. atleast mains GS paper questions should be standard. GS paper should be set to analyse candidates overall ability. I upsc GS paper is the deciding factor in overall performance of the candidates. But what i have seen in APSC- people getting above 250 in GS. No questions directly or indirectly should come from the coaching institutes materials/test series. Unless and until this happens there will be no fair competition.

  • @throb24, are you talking about CCE 2013 mains? 283/300 in GS bullshit, 196/200 in history mains is also bullshit as was the case in CCE 2013… But nothing could be done last time against the malpractices. Can it be done this time? Only time will tell..

  • 283 marks in general studies is a bull shit

  • Regarding 283 marks in gs, tumi aru beleg info pua neki ?

  • @siva, u r 100 % true.
Cut off 270+ not a joke. So, pls friends lets wait for apsc decision & lets see??????

  • How come the candidates of some coaching institutes in ghy get common questions in CCE mains exams? Even grammar and essay topics were common for some candidates (of some ghy based coaching inst) appearing in CCE mains. Moreover huge no. of candidates are selected from the coaching institutes. Also the mains GS paper lacks quality with no questions from international affairs. the questions should be set to test the intellectual ability of the candidates and not just to test mugging up ability of the candidates. The result is 283 marks in GS (which is a joke).

  • My probable scores.. History = 180, GS = 158..total = 338..

  • Result not before Feb
