The marks above include interview. That means they are out of all total 1600, not just 1400 of CC (Main) Exam. The highest cutoff was 961 or 60.06% for ACS and APS posts in open category. The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • All the best to you and all other aspirants. I went till interview last year (1st attempt). Awaiting for Mains result. Won’t appear for APSC prelims again. Not because of any issues related to corruption , but bohut khalu aru MAINS d …The second phase completely hibernates our other intellectual facilities for nearly 2-3 months. U just learn to read n revise like a parrot, write in rocket speed thereby blocking your analytical n creative abilities for this whole period. Nevertheless, u ll learn a lot about Assam n its contentious problems like illegal influx, LSHEP,Rhino poaching ,LEP, Flood etc…but in reality, u can’t empathize with these issues unless you get the freedom n luxury to venture further by being able to provide a suitable analytical solution s. These analytical thinking can only be developed when APSC stresses more marks in GS than in optional. In fact,GS paper should be developed in the line of UPSC. At this juncture, the effectiveness and efficiency of UPSC comes into play. You see..if u study for APSC (appear, fail, reappear many a times) u ll ultimately become an officer.,but in case of UPSC,u ll become a reformed citizen with a far greater outlook n perspective concerning the country plus u l ll clear APSC.
So,plz don’t waste your precious time preparing for APSC, venture deeper n aim higher. Thanks for the patience for reading up to this point. Kindly comment n gv ur views (all the assams.info followers) to this article.

  • @caporegime, thanks so much dear… You have done a great favour… Trying to study as exhaustively as possible… Feeling nervous too as it would be my first shot… Going by APSC’s record, will have to grab the few seats available on merit…

  • M planning to appear in UPSC 2016 with HISTORY optional from Assam. If some candidates are out there who too is trying with the same optionals, kindly inform me. It will be mutually beneficial for both of us.

  • CAN ANYONE HIGHLIGHT THE RESULT DATE OF CCE MAINS 2014

  • I think CCE 2015 process won’t get delayed by much. Mains might be conducted by July-August as was the case with CCE 2013. Let’s not forget that prelims-2013 was conducted on 29th December 2013. So nothing much to worry regarding the delay. Let’s keep studying.
