APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. Mains results would be out by January 1st week or before magh bihu. Hope you guys are doing whatever it takes to make it to the list.

  • One interesting titbit…

I have been following the Facebook posts of a few selected of CCE 2013 for the past few months.. Everybody is very upset with people doubting their merit.. They have accused those who have questioned their merit as racists (ST people made it to the list), hypocrites and so on.. A few of them have some good daily stories spreading optimism … World has suddenly turned out to be a beautiful place which was a gloomy place a few months back(courtesy – Facebook posts).. They have got blessings from unknown people… And vowed to make this place a better place with their sincerity & honesty & bla bla…. Humorous posts in all totality.:-) :-) :-) :-)

But these guys have never accepted that there were discrepancies in the first place.. Soku muda kuli ekebare.. Even an anonymous post would have been nice to read.. With guts of a jackel they are going to change this corrupt world.. What a tragedy!

  • I agree with both of you @siva & @prasanta…….

  • See Last time 60-70,percent got seats through corruption.no one is going to argue about that.but discussing these things at this time when next preliminary is so near is a blunder.case is pending in honourable Gauhati HC and a CBI enquiry is also going on.but all these will take time .an institution like Apsc which is so corrupt can not be cleaned in a day.but in the mean time next exam is more important. At first u have to make yourself strong sound so that you stay way above the cut off level.getting wrapped in such attitude will leave you in nowhere.so stop making excuses and study hard

  • friends
moi kako discourage kora nai. hasa kotha kaba gole 2013 t 20-30 ta mane merit t paisil. jadi court case borar kono result nahe tente 2015 t koneo merit t napai.

  • Peternorth u don’t have anything to say.Golmaal ur right but now its time for preliminary preparation.that’s why I think we better concentrate on upcoming preliminary

  • But having said that it should not hinder our preparation.. Keep fighting all of us..

  • Not trying to discourage anybody.. But the truth of the matter is that till you don’t suffer injustice you often think why the hell would that happen to me… Let’s neither be optimistic nor be pessimistic… Because both might sometimes cloud the truth.. So let’s instead be pragmatic.. That way we know what to expect from apsc… If the tree is of lemon how can you expect it to bear mangoes! Isn’t the tree still same?

  • Me too ruby .I think a silent preparation for pi is essential .in last pi lot of controversial questions were asked.so apart from preliminary preparation discussion regarding current issues like beef controversy or growing Intolerance in society and foreign issues etc.are essential

  • Yes siva….peter north is also appearing with history as optional…..

  • Anybody having history as optional this time I mean for next preliminary.in stead of discussing corruption in apsc I think it is better to discuss some serious stuff regarding next preliminary.Mr Peternorth what do u say?
