The lowest cutoff was 762 or 47.62% for Inspector of taxes post in Scheduled Tribe (Hills) category. Category wise, lowest cutoff score for General category was 927 or (57.93%). Lowest OBC cutoff was 833 i.e. 52%. Compared to UPSC Civil Services examination, these values are high.

APSC 2013 Final Cutoff:

Cutoff marks are hard to predict. Because they are influenced by various factors such as candidates in different subjects, pattern of question papers, examiners etc. Higher standards of valuation can easily push cutoff scores down. But it is seen that cutoff marks of civil services examinations fluctuate within a range. The APSC Mains written examination was held in Guwahati from July 1 to July 27, 2014. Though nearly 3000 candidates were selected, several candidates didn’t appeared in the Mains. Also we heard that some papers were tougher than previous years. So, what will be the cutoff for APSC 2013? Will it be around 55-60% for General and 50-55% for OBC? Or it will change drastically? Have any good guess? Feel free to express your views.

Date of APSC 2013 Main results:

Any tentative dates for declaration of APSC 2013 Main exam results? If everything goes smoothly, APSC 2013 Mains examination results will be announced by the end of September or early October. That’s what one APSC employee told us. Basically it is too early to give an exact date. • @james, you are spot on.. The primary target should have been scrapping the list & investigating CCE 2013 anomalies.. But the focus has shifted to Rakesh Paul’s benami properties.. Even if he is charged under benami transaction act 1988, we will not get full justice.. Our aim was to get the jobs that rightfully belongs to the deserving candidates.. Not sure how the CBI enquiry would benefit the candidates’ concern.

Now this brings the very important question.. Was there any petition praying for cancellation of the merit list? Correct me if I am wrong.. Akhil Gogoi appealed for CBI enquiry only.. Or did he also appeal to scrap the list? His appeal for CBI enquiry has been accepted..

I think prasanta bhuyan has appealed for re-examination if I can recollect correctly.. I request him to put forward his valuable views..

Ironically list khon scrap nuhuai bhal. .. corruption aru hobo lage… sri krishnai Gitat koise let evil rise n if it rises too high suppress it by killing it…to establish dharma…revolution is the necessary end to establish order..let corruption reach its height…

  • Let me tell u the insider story.Rakesh pal will move supreme court against the enquiry in a week.Again the case has been overshadowed by question about pal’s property rather than about anomalies in CCE’13.
KMSS has gone soft on the case for unknown reasons. This now solely depends on quality of amicus curie.
    Donot expect any mega output.
Are we only gonna see and exclaim !!!

  • @randip, list khan scrap habogene..

@prasanta, are you happy with the judgement.. Any update from your side?

  • Ha ha ha ha ha….HA HA HA HA HA…

  • @leo das, can’t say with surety.. When CCE 2006 merit list was scrapped, there was no re-examination I suppose..

  • If CBI finds anomalies in the exam process then will the list be scrapped? will there be a reexam??

  • Will the list be again prepared on cancelling the present one.?

@Ankita by how many marks were u short off to get ur name listed under the merit list for any post? if u dont mind can u share ur details mark along with the interview score?

  • @ankita, things are not as simple. Have faith in the judiciary system. If it didn’t matter why is the honorable high court wasting its precious time in hearing the concerned petitioners.. I strongly believe we will get justice.. Today’s hearing might give us some indications for things to come..

  • @ Sameer.. people who qualified to the final list have already got their postings and have joined despite all the hue and cry about corruption. What else left to hope from the system? The truth is – APSC doesnt have a place for people like us without money and political links. And it is futile to sit for all the upcoming exams if this list isn’t cancelled.

  • @ankita, I think you should first consult some of the candidates who have already filled petition in the high court. One of them is prasanta bhuyan. They can show you the way forward.

Fight for justice. It was David who won a seemingly impossible battle against the invincible Goliath.. Remember APSC’s Fort is already dwindling.. It’s just a few hits away from crumbling.. It’s now or never..

While it is good to be abreast with the latest developments of the ongoing case, please don’t forget that 2015 CSP is slated on 22nd November… Please invest maximum efforts in your preparations so that the nefarious designs of those concerned can be defeated to induct below-average students into the civil services

  • A well covered news article in the Telegraph regarding Rakesh Paul..
