Answer Key – APSC Prelims 2014 General Studies Paper

Find here the answer key of APSC Prelims 2014. The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) conducted Combined Competitive (CCE) (Preliminary) on September 28, 2014. Yesterday we examined the General Studies question paper. In our opinion it was a scoring paper. Several questions are basic General Knowledge type. Polity questions are not that tough or approachable. The reasoning questions (8 nos) are easy. As expected there are several Assam related questions. Those who didn’t studied Assam history and geography, might find them tough.

Anyway, we solved 90% of the General Studies question paper in 1 hour (that’s why called it a scoring one). Now it’s your turn to calculate or estimate your score! Following is the answer key (from Assams.info, not official) of the General Studies paper (Series A) of APSC Prelims 2014. Match the answers with yours.

  • Looks like we have to wait till Bihu for the results. Such delay, and I believe everyone would agree, plays havoc with the mindset of the aspirants. Rumour mills are running overtime these days to make sense of the delay, and needless to say, what gets churned out is always discouraging. Nevertheless, as aspirants, we need to be patient as well as steadfast. However, I cannot help spare a thought for the aspirants who are yet to take further decisions on their career due to such delay. Mention be made that delay in prelims results has a cascading effect on the rest of the selection process, which in my conservative estimate would end by Jan 2016. Hope I am wrong

  • Enthusiastic on

Update on prelims n mains results. APSC officials don’t sound so enthusiastic regarding the announcement of the results. I think we will have to wait till January for both prelims and Mains results. If anything new comes my way I will let you know.

  • Agree with Mayur..d UPSC mains starts from 14th Dec and we are still awaiting the pre result.really disgusting.APSC is always in the news for wrong reasons.Todays Amar Asom(Front page) has covered a news regarding the discrepancies relating to the selection of senior information officer whose results were declared recently. The news item has mentioned elaborately how the genuine candidates were deprived to make the way for the candidates coming through the back door, really such a role is not expected from APSC where now money and influence is the main criteria for selection and nothing else.
