Umrangso or Umrongso is a small town in Dima Hasao district of Assam. The town is located at the borders of Meghalaya and Assam. Umrangso is 112 kms away from the district headquarters Dima Hasao. According to 2001 Census, the population of the town is 9131 and it’s average literacy rate is 74%.
